While I haven't actually had any female coworkers that were programmers in almost 5 years, I had worked with a handful of female students in college. None of them had over-commented code. The worst I could say was that a lot of times their code was less efficient than it could have been (or flat out wrong), but I think that had more to do with them being students than being women, since many male students had those issues too.
