http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/227126-neil-degrasse-tyson-says-its-very-likely-the-universe-is-a-simulation

>At the most recent Isaac Asimov Memorial Debate, recently held at New York’s Hayden Planetarium, scientists gathered to address the question for the year: Is the universe a computer simulation? It’s an older question that you might imagine, and if we interpret it a bit more broadly then it’s really one of the oldest questions imaginable: How do we know that reality is reality? And, if our universe were a big, elaborate lie, could we ever devise some test to prove that fact? At the debate, host and celebrity astronomer Neil deGrasse Tyson argued that the probability is that we live in a computer simulation.

its based on the observer effect fallacy - where people think the particles behave differently when you look at them - when really they are just behaving differently because in order to observe them, you cant just use your fucking eye - you have to smash particles into them thus altering their behavior entirely.

Pretty much.

One theory is that all information is actually encoded on 2D "Packets" and that 3D space is an illusion.

>How do we know that reality is reality?
Literally 500BC question, and I doubt the black science guy has anything more to add.

Also, concerning the simulation, its a joke.
Common agreement of physical existance of man is particles. Regardless of simulation or not, these particles follow the laws of physics.
From this follows that free will or the lack of it has nothing to do with simulation.
So too if one is to think of god, he too is regardless of simulation.
Simulation, infact, cannot change the fundamentals if you really think of it. Since simulation too is a slave to the fundamental "laws" of the world.

I don't fully agree with you because a simulation is a complex term that may not mean shit outside of a multiple subjective situation.

Like the only difference between a simulation and real life is that the simulator know that he is simulating sth, but its the same for the simulated. If the simulator would die then the simulation and the reality would be literally the same

Thats why i say this is masonic bullshit. The "simulator" is a new hip name for the demiurge.

Just think about it this way. In an RPG game for example, it contains any and all possibilities down to the smallest and largest details which are pre-programmed. If a character "dies" it just goes back to a certain 'save point where everything is identical leading up to that point. That reality or part in the game in which you died continues on without you hypothetically, while in your own perception youre playing in a new reality but with a chance to not die or whatever.

If our universe is actually 'real' and came from a demiurge, then why is our universe such a paradox?

>cannot be infinite if it is expanding, there would needs be something beyond it to expand into
>cannot be finite if it is expanding, there would still need to be something beyond its borders if borders existed

So it cannot be infinite nor finite, it simply cannot be at all, it is a paradox and does not exist
>>
>>74480316
a simulation would entail that what seems to be a reality isn't real so by calling the universe a simulation it would be like saying that it doesn't really exist because it's just taking place inside a time vacuum where events only unfold in a non-euclidean manner instead of how we percieve it as. this has nothing to do with masons, it's just a new 'new age' idea that's come out after the 2012 mayan apocalypse idea. but basically it's another meme based on how much hype it gets

What a dumb nigger.

You're being fooled. It looks like a computer simulation, but really we're misinterpreting what a simulation is.

If I am here.

I am not a simulation, I am real.

If I think broadly though - I am a simulation.

You're over thinking bullshit concepts scientist.

What is the point of this thinking? We have bigger issues to worry about and that idea is not practical - it cannot sort the issues that might destroy science entirely.

Focus on the bigger issues like engineers.

So this guy actually tells some theories why some people might think that it's likely that we are in a simulated universe.

Basically the main argument is that any civilization that reaches the technology to generate a simulation of the universe will do it. Since there are probably many such civilizations there have to be many such simulations and therefore chances of us living in the real universe are pretty small.

Well this theory has many flaws in my opinion. First of all if there are so many highly advanced civilizations, where are they and what is the Fermi paradox? Then even if all those aliens do exist, how realistic is it to invent a simulator of the know universe. I would say it's almost impossible. There is just too much information out there and to simulate it all you would need something HUGE and with the power of n^a_gorillion_of_suns to fucking simulate it. Honestly it's probably fucking impossible and also pretty useless to do something like that. We can be glad if we could one day in a couple of thousands of years adequately simulate a human AI.

Lottery probably not, but positive financial gain will happen through positive affirmations and making your goals clear daily.

Saying something like, " I am going to come into money, I am going to be financially stable and successful " You will find that you treat money differently after a few weeks and months, then at the end of the year, you have an extra 10k in your bank account.
>>
>>74489949
>is it theoretically possible to luck Money specs?
It definitely is.

It's what I study - derivatives and arbitrage.

It's an "altered glitch" so to speak:
>Observes reactions in the environment, where the glitches occur
>Uses specific method/commands/functions to use the glitches effectively

This is just like:
-Philosophy

And it's incremented applications:
- Science (Maths, physics, chemistry, biology)
- Other Memes (Religion)

Alternatively memes can be thought of as observations of how they effect the earth and our environment "magic-like", then we apply the specific "codes" of glitches that work.

Hence why we need to explore the "glitches"

The jews were not entirely off the mark, but then they started using them to their own self-obsessed needs.

What they fail to realise are "glitches" in technology they use.

Someone hacked that plane that "exploded" or "disappeared" recently, I'm certain.

Think of the obvious glitches, those that are easy to find and use, then find the harder to find glitches.

If everybody knew arbitrage. Then the increase in inflation caused by it would be negligible.

Essentially - Debt is just an endless tree with infinite fruit.

If the government rethought it's way of regulating the debt, it could essentially create a system of capitalism where simply knowing arbitrage would give you infinite cash.

The problem: people's brain capacity.

These bankers don't need serfs. They live on another playing field entirely.

Only problem - the production isn't completely automated.
