Nietzsche wasn't atheist, tard. He decried atheism as one of the great evils of his time. So many people take the "god is dead" quote out of context. It is not a celebratory remark, but one of regret and shame.

That's pretty close but I'd say he was an atheist, but nothing like people here like to hate. He didn't consider atheism as an evil per se, he considered the nihilism resulting from the death of the belief in god as fundamentally bad for society. He wanted to replace God with the uberman, although he admired the slave morality and self-conquering ability of Christianity from an intellectual perspective.
It's just strange to say he thought something was an evil considering he titled one of his books Beyond Good and Evil.

The idea of the Ubermensch has always fascinated me, and it's actually pretty solid. Love his ideas of taking control of yourself. He has to be one of my favorite, if not my absolute favorite thinker, it's just too bad that his works have been twisted from anti-nihilism to pro-nihilism by edgy teenagers to justify their bullshit hedonistic lifestyles.
