The plane was not full to capacity and if ISIS has penetrated Charles de Gaulle it's entirely possible that there was extra fuel on the plane. How far they could go without being detected is beyond me but if they were going to hit a target it would have happened by now.
The plane was ascending. I think it's far more likely that the pilot was evading a missile, but it's not zero.
If wreckage isn't found in a few hours, something is afoot.
