Well, I figured a QRP ham rig would be useful for communications in the event of societal collapse or civil war or whatever OP's apocalyptic fantasy is. A few small batteries can keep a QRP rig running for a very long time. Remember, you turn it off when you're not using it and the antennas are literally just long thin wires. Very light.
What would you cut back on? The crackers aren't necessary but the peanut butter is high calories-to-weight which is super useful in a survival situation. Tea bags could go but again they're very light. You have to have something to hold water in. I could get rid of the frying pan and just use a pot, I guess.
