Anyone who grew up in the deserts of the southwest like I did knows that the farther you go into no mans land desert the spoopier and more fucked up it gets.
While crossing into no mans land by the arizona strip and the mountains near mesquite nevada I have actually witnessed nuclear boring drills in action with teams and armed gaurd (i promptly noped the fuck out of there)
In my hometown of Saint George, Utah if you go near riverdale road around 3 am you will see these boring machines transported under white tarps by military personnel.

I was doing innawoods stuff with my friends in Eastern KY and we came across what we thought was an abandoned farm. When we approaching a dilapidated barn we were intercepted by some "Sheriff's Deputies" (their uniforms were wrong and they were too educated and in shape, and they didn't sound like they were from KY) who escorted us off the property and had a real deputy waiting to pick us up. We were taken back into to town and told to not go back or we'd be prosecuted.

Never seen this discussed on here before. I was in the navy for 11 years and after getting bored I decided to try and get into DEVGRU.
