Some-races-are-more-equal-than-others commies. Invite other races to join the Greater Good, then typically enslave them. See Kroot, Vespid, Guevasa. Caste system determines your position if you're a Tau- Ethereal caste considered leadership, have psionic powers. Fire caste are warriors, Earth caste are builders, Water caste are traders/merchants, Air caste are pilots/bombers. Everyone is subservient to the Greater Good and by proxy the Ethereals.

Strategic wargames have existed since the 1800s at least. Warhammer is just a strong modern version of old games simplified for idiots but with some of the most intensely fleshed out lore of any setting out there.
