Yep, agree on that

But I doubt highly that that due respect is anywhere in Canberra right now

These are stuffed shirts that bend every independent policy they have to fit establishment structure and make pre-selection. The LibLab duopoly has existed so long that anyone in that system is pure bureaucrat class looking to keep their job as long as possible, not make the country great.

Not only that but nobody is elected in the same way as Trump here. They use party politics to entrench themselves in a locale and have no appreciation for the democratic mandate that makes a man like Trump someone they should respect in the first place.

Derryn Hinch and all the Justice Party senate candidates are self made and running in statewide elections. That alone qualifies them more than any MP to me. If anyone will respect the populist backing a leader has and needs to operate internationally it's going to be Hinchy and not Tax Cheat Turnbull or Shill Bill

I thought our system superior to the shitshow of American politics until this election, where I release that the anti-establishment candidate in Australia will never come to power because the major parties have internal politics that are closed to the democracy of the general public.

There will not be a sudden Trump for Australia. Only a severe spark of nationalism round the west could make enough political pressure to change the actual electorate.

There won't be a sudden Trump but anti establishment populist fervor is real everywhere, there can easily be a Trump party. Every cunt you ask in this country if you get on the internet has some shit to say about politicians.

Whoever attaches themselves to that sentiment is going to prosper. Hinch has name recognition with boomer cunts and candidates in every state. He's 2.00 on sportsbet to get his own seat. Justice Party policy is broad, it's not going to get limited to commies like Greens are now or to /pol/ users like the meme parties cunts in here talk about.

Australians still have strong patriotism and national character, of course you can't see this in either Parliament or the worst of Uni courses or campuses.

However politics is not a strong part of the Australian Character, bar grousing about whomever is in charge. Hence we are led constantly by a parliament of non-Australians, who say they are for Australian values when multiculturalism makes it unclear exactly what that is.
>>
>>73778558
If Trump continues to win there is no doubt that someone here will follow his lead in being unapologetic and politically incorrect as it is now a guaranteed vote winner. I see it on the most normie of fairfax media. The left are losing their sway over public opinion, the beast is finally FINALLY dying, of course this is not due to the neo-cons who have lost the culture war entirely but the fun youth who love counter-culture, but all culture is polite and hypocritical so guess what gets mocked.

Every muslim attack gets harder to excuse, the left cannot admit to itself that multiculturalism and cultural marxism have divided the nation not """""diversified"""" it. Culture cannot peacefully coexist it is always competing, assimilation to a mono-culture is the only true social stability. With Europeans birth rate as it is compared to the Islamic migrants pouring in the continent will regress, the left refusing to admit it all the way.

The day it has its messy divorce is the day it finally loses, and the pendulum will SWING to the right, not necessarily always the better option but sorely needed now.
>>
>>73779129
>the pendulum will SWING to the right, not necessarily always the better option but sorely needed now

Well it's just nature correcting itself. For every action, an equal an opposite reaction. The problematic thing for the SJW's is that they have pulled the pendulum back so far left, perhaps as far as they conceivably can, though we are always reaching surprising new lows. But now the pendulum is ready to swing back and because of them it's going to swing back so far right that Tony Abbott will look like Tony Jones compared to what comes next.
>>
>>73779529
This is what I fear and this is what the left don't get.

They think Trumps tough love makes him a fascist neo-nazi you-name-it. They have no idea what's coming.

Europe states will either capitulate or go full fascist, not just a rediscovering of nationalism but full NATSOC, because that will be the extreme pulling away from absolute anarchy.

No jobs, no opportunities, all taxes being spent on welfare with riots if it is cut because of entitlement culture of minorities who think that crimes a hundred years prior to them mean they deserve reparations now.

People wit duel nationalities like the Mexican riots in California or the Islamist marches after Benghazi, they serve two masters but it is clear which leash is tightest.

Trump is the Wests last chance for a more gentle solution before things get really REALLY bad. There is no saving Europe, Poland will no doubt be on a crusade it will call itself if the current Pope has a too idealistic view to see beyond his nose.

Shit is going to hit the fan and the hypocrisies of the left will be studied in History books assuming we win. How was it, that a movement that supposedly aimed for equality and justice regardless of color of skin, defended cultures of severe enforced inequality and injustice based upon the color of skin.

You know there is life beyond the next election, are you a politician? The most common response to asking an ordinary person about their political opinions is to state that they hate both parties and that they are pretty much the same these days anyway. There is little genuine support behind either major political party, it's all held together by rigged, misleading polls. Australia is well overdue for a major political shake up. It's already happening everywhere, we're just a few years behind the rest of the world like in most things.
>>
>>73780086
There will be a bombing of a major event such as ANZAC day ceremonies, mass murder at the AFL or NRL grand final.

Worst case, a 15 kiloton nuclear bomb detonated somewhere inside a major european city, leading to hundreds of thousands of casualties literally before you could blink, a very large mushroom cloud, along with no communications for upwards of 10 minutes.

People don't know how easy it is to make a nuclear bomb mate. The hardest part is the actual material, and ISIS has already smuggled some of that shit.

It's only a matter of time.
>>
>>73780861
An attack on ANZAC day is hardly a conspiracy, the last two have had anti-terrorist teams stop plots that knew the days significance, and were to act as symbolic crippling attacks.

Something like blowing up the Australian War Memorial in Canberra (the only thing of value in the entire state) would drive the people LIVID with rage. Since ISIS wants to provoke a nuclear war that would certainty be a target they will try.
>>
>>73780861
Settle the fuck down, it's a gigantic pain in the arse to enrich uranium, and in order to do it at scale you need to be a lot more secure than ISIS are. A dirty bomb is possible, but that isn't the same thing as actual fission or fusion.

Somehow I cannot ever imagine the mercenaries and other characters known as 'ISIS' being capable of manufacturing nuclear weapons. No, Israel or Saudi Arabia will have to give them one, just like they've given them the rest of their weapons. And does anyone wonder what would motivate ISIS to conduct insignificant terror attacks against civilian targets when these events only seem to strengthen the opposition against them both politically and militarily? A large scale attack, like a nuclear attack, would be a step up and would certainly cause a great deal of damage against the West. But it would almost certainly trigger WW3.

>manufacture
Little Boy (Hiroshima, 15 kilotons) used a gun type method where one sub-critical mass of uranium was shot at another. The most complicated part of the entire bomb was the fusing system, which isn't actually needed if you're not intending to drop the thing and get away.

It will take effort, yes. Resources, yes. Paying off, yes. But the most complicated things to get are the people with the knowledge to manufacture them and the nuclear material, and ISIS already has the latter, and may have the former.

Little Boy weighted four tons and had 60 kilos of enriched uranium in it.

I'm not suggesting that it's technically impossible, I'm suggesting firstly, that Australia would be a bloody awful place for a rogue state to detonate a nuclear weapon, and secondly, that a rogue state would initially be lucky to produce a single weapon. A dirty bomb is much easier, and as such, it's much more likely that we'll see a terror attack intended to disperse nuclear material with conventional explosives, since it creates a decent level of panic for relatively little effort.

>You think a city like Paris or Berlin being partially fucking leveled won't start an actual nuclear war?
It would be either a punitive strike or a conventional war dressed up as a UN intervention. WW3 conjures up images of Russia, China, and the US simultaneously trying for a first strike, which is unequivocally not going to happen.

Look at Sydney and the Inner West they have turned into over developed ethnic shit holes with infrastructure is not keeping up. How to find out if your local MP is a TRAITOR:
1. Find your electorate, enter your suburb here
http://apps.aec.gov.au/esearch

2. Click the link to your electorate from the results. There may be more than one result, pick the first one.

3. Click "More information about the electorate". This will list the history of sitting members. The first one is the current sitting member. WRITE THIS DOWN.

4. Search this list for that member. If there's a match, your sitting member is SCUM and it is your duty to vote against them.

actually australia is the model country for mass immigration. during the mining boom our immigration peaked at 500 000 people in a year. we did it first. we were the petri dish. but its not the first time. USA had niggers but we had kanakers, chinese launderers, south east asian pearlers, fishermen, all sorts of racial groups were imported as an underclass to fill the role of niche jobs that richfaggots wanted done cheap. like cutting their sugar cane or washing the blood stained sheets on the cheap.

labor are demagogues. they dont have real policies. the last one was the NBN which was great. but right now it's all just focused on faggots. that and they want to make education affordable but they dont want to cancel HECS. they dont want economic stimulus. they're in favor of increasing small business tax cuts and incentives when it's the most exploited white elephant in corporate tax. a company can restructure such that it's 1000 employees are now a part of 50 x 25 person departments and suddenly they get tax breaks and shitty workplace laws that were only ever intended to support mom and pop businesses. labor wont repeal workchoices. fucking sage honestly.

I am actually in favor of immigration. but only so far as the government first promises a fund for each one for workplace training, a newly created job that cannot be performed by a domestic worker at normative domestic rates of pay and budgets in services for them. so basically it must cost to import niggers. in the same way that there was a proposal 100 years ago in the gold fields that employers must pay a 10 pound tax for every imported nigger, to ensure that the niggers were actually needed and not disposable labour or simply being used for nefarious purposes. the niggers must be given an opportunity to integrate into society. not simply imported because ROADS and CONSTRUCTION will cost more ergo my property portfolio and development company will make more money.

Nuclear is literally the most retarded, uneconomical source of power available. This isn't SimCity 2000 where you can drop down a Fusion reactor and get free cheap power. Nuclear is a disaster. Anyone who claims it's economical isn't factoring in the cost of having to securely store nuclear waste for -THOUSANDS- of years. You compare that to a wind turbine which, once built, provides resource free electricity generation for decades.

Finally slows the huge numbers of immigrants we cannot take, to a rate that is sustainable. End the dogma of multiculturalism as that is horseshit that divides a society not unites it, you might as well call us multiple nations living on the one continent like Europe used to be. Three Mile Island was the operators of the plant ignoring all pre-set safety procedures and even just common sense in their field

Fukushima was the result of a long standing issue being completely ignored (The chance of an earthquake near japan along with a tsunami), resulting in a flood wall being overloaded, the generators being cut, and multiple reactors being damaged and SCRAMing.

Once the SCRAMed, it's common procedure to either rely on generator power or mains power to power the fuel loops to evacuate waste heat, that was impossible, and the reactors overloaded.

Again, something that could have been completely avoided if they actually did anything. The fault of Fukushima rests squarely on the company that operated that plant.

Chernobyl was the result of a bunch of drunk idiots overloading the reactor to get it to produce even more power than it did, resulting in a meltdown which was then """solved""" by putting a graphite rod in to SCRAM it, which resulted in a steam explosion that spread the radioactive waste.

Nuclear waste is rarely what you think it is, in fact most of the time it's just shit like boots and hats that have to be discarded once they come within a distance of the reactor. This is the waste we're taking.

Actual nuclear waste is put in a pool the size of a swimming pool protected by what amounts to practically a special forces team, kept there until it's no longer a danger to the people handling it, then put in a concrete cask lined with lead and buried deep underground in a desert with constant military supervision.

We're not fucking dumping it into the ocean, idiot.

The Japanese shouldn't fucking build Nuclear Power Plants, nor should anyone in fucking San Fransisco or New Zealand build Nuclear Power Plants.

Japan got hit by an earthquake and a tsunami on an aging Nuclear Power Plant, for the general geography Japan should not build Nuclear.

But Australia is right dab in the middle of a tectonic plate. The middle of Australia is of no risk of an earthquake that could destroy a secure NPP, it's comparatively the cleanest power on the market for the biggest buck (that smoke rising is water vapor dumb shit) with the waste totally negligible compared to what shit the other fuels use.

m8 the only reason to build nuclear plants is to make nukes. there is no other reason. they are only economically viable with subsidies and they leak and fall apart. the lifespan of a nuclear power plant is about 50 years before the containment vessel becomes too embrittled from radiation to be safe anymore, following that the cleanup takes more than 200 years and technology does not exist yet to clean up a nuclear power plant which is why decomissioned ones just stay there.

they are inherently unsafe because even though current international guidelines specify multiple containment vessels, they only build one. because why build one reactor when you can build five amirite? this is what happens when the rods fall through the floor and they cant find them. the madmen build them with one containment vessel then go zomg, wut? how did it fall out? its practically like they're doing a stunt without an airbag for the stuntman to fall on and wondering why he died.

>costs a bit
"$9 billion per unit, according to a 2009 UCS report" - Nuclear power plant cost
The smallest nuclear power plant in the united states has a combined generating capacity of 502 MW, while the largest has a combined generating capacity of 3,937 MW.

The largest, that being the Palo Verde nuclear power plant in Arizona, cost 5.9 billion US dollars to create and produces 39% of the power the entire state of Arizona uses.

So if we calculate this, we can get 3,937 MW for 5.9 billion, so that's 1.4 grand a kilowatt, roughly.

Meanwhile, a 10 kW wind generator costs $50k, so that's 5 grand a kilowatt.

So even on the simplest measure of power generation, nuclear has your wind beat.

As for waste storage: 5 million USD every 5 years, so 1 million USD a year, which when we add on to the pre-existing cost of our presupposed nuclear plant, doesn't even make a dent in it.

Yes, that is how a nuclear generator works.

The heat from the fission reaction is used to boil water, which go through turbines, which then are turned into power. The water is at no point irradiated and goes into the air in the form of water vapor, aka literally harmless steam.

>>73787556
>can map starts a thousand light years away
>cant map a submarine a fart away
The point of a neutrino detector in astronomy is to detect the massive flux of the things from things like supernovas, which is pretty much the only situation that we know of in which neutrinos are easily detectable and actually useful.

You're not going to be doing shit with a submarine.

For scale, if VY Canis Majoris went into a supernova, you'd be quite literally killed by the neutrino radiation from multiple AUs away.

>nuclear generators do not produce radioactive polution
Nope, they generate heat which boils water. This exact process goes on in the nuclear generators of submarines. The reason that submarines happen to have them is because radioactive material has an insane amount of energy storage, and thus can allow submarines to stay mobile for years on end.

>we need nukes
Yes, because multiple other countries have them, and the best deterrent to a nuclear war is the capability for both countries to be destroyed by each other. This is why we have nuclear submarines, as they aren't entrenched in the ground like silos or easily located like ground borne solutions.

>because nukes have been useless for the past 60 years and warfare strategies have adapted to take nukes out of the game
They haven't been useless, they've been so effective literally nobody has had the gonads to use them.

>north korea exists because it has vast gold reserves. google north korea gold supply. there's an embargo but it keeps showing up in volume in the gold supply. somebody is clearly paying the right people to ignore him.
