OH, PA, VA, FL are the states in play that Trump wants. He needs to focus on the union/blue collar vote and not fall into the trap of pandering to minorities who will vote for anyone with a (D) next to their name.
I could very easily see OH and PA going Trump if he continues what he's been doing. I can see VA going red if Webb is given the nod for VP. Florida is a toss-up and will hinge entirely on voter turnout. If he does plan to give a moderate tax hike for the super-rich I don't see it going red.
The one flaw I see with his strategy is that he wants to bring manufacturing jobs back but has overseas factories himself. Hillary will focus on this very hard if she has any sense, but he could outmaneuver her if he publicly starts moving his clothing factory operations back to the US. This would generate great positive publicity and he could show that he is a man of his word.
