No. What we need to do before we even talk about that is to abolish college as we know it. Do away with it as any form of job preparation. Or professional education. Recreate a new system of training and hopefully some mentorship, and then we can talk public funding.
You go to become a mechanic, you take mechanic classes and basic math. No fucking electives. Respiratory therapist? Same thing. 'Well rounded education' is a crock of shit to make students feel good about getting fleeced and to make them perpetuate the societal acceptance of the expense and time consumption of this worthless system.
Im not a Doctor or Lawyer so maybe they need History of the Nigger Since 1721 and what have you, but 98% of people seeking a career credential do not. It is a disservice to force it on them.

The disconnect between my cohort and those younger than me from investing of any kind (wall street) is ridiculous and laughable. They cant put it together that they can literally purchase income and own portions of companies.
I wish I hadnt gone to college. Should've just invested every penny from the get go the way I do now...my job would be the same and I'd be a millionaire by my 50s with a house paid off.
At least I didnt finish my degree. I was smart enough to stop at an AS. Now I watch steadily growing checks come in each month thanks to other debt slave degree holding morons, who doubtless are complaining about ME being the problem...
