I am very sad about it because it was just such a stupid and unnecessary move. VW overtook Toyota as the biggest car producer again this quarter even with the emission scandal going on, they simply didn't need to cheat.

The liberal pencil pushers responsible for setting this restrictions in place are to blame for demanding the impossible. They are intentionally trying to kill the gas engine, and the only way for auto manufacturers to stay alive is to fudge the numbers, make lack luster hybrids, or lose money trying to sell EVs.

My buddy has had a TDI Jetta since 2010 with a manual trans. Cruising down the highway he routinely gets over 50mpg average. Pretty good for an engine that makes 140hp and 236torx. Puts tiny Jap shitboxes to shame.
