Work for your county if possible. Any opening you're qualified for on their website if possible.
Some people may scoff at having a county/government job but they are ok. The pay for even the shittiest entry-level job is usually semi-decent and you have solid job security. They put you through a rigorous background test and drug testing so if you get the job you'll have to fuck up hardcore to get fired since it means they'll need to pay out for your replacement to go through all of that. It also looks good on a resume. If you can pass through all of the shit the county puts you through to hire you, the company will know you can go through their shit too.
The county job I did for three years was kinda comfy. Pay wasn't amazing but my co-workers were cool, I got a lot of free food, drove a john deere gator alot which are fun as fuck, and spent a good amount of time around cops I befriended. By the time I left that job I had the numbers of a major and two sergeants. And one of the sergeants is a lieutenant now.

Additionally, non-profits need each employee to wear a lot of "hats" - meaning you will end up doing a lot of roles. At my first job, I worked for an archaeology non-profit. I did 90% bullshit clerical work, but I also did "marketing", which meant I had to work in their shitty """""""database"""""""""""" to send mass emails and shit. I ended up learning how databases worked and then taught myself SQL while watching videos of indian dudes explaining it on youtube (i did all of this while on the job, I had my own shitty little office). I then parlayed that into a job in IT by saying I did SQL work and database stuff at the non-profit. When they asked questions about SQL, I was able to answer easily based literally of what I had learned from youtube and from poking around the database at work. I've been working as a functional lead analyst for a major IT contractor for almost 2 years now.

Dude I worked overseas as a teacher. Taught humanities (IGCSE and A levels) and in Bangkok you can make 100k USD/year. Other places will pay less, but it's still a boat load plus they give you accommodations, a car and driver, and vacations are needless to say always awesome. You should consider it. Apply only to legit international schools that teach a Western curriculum and you'll have a blast.

I'm halfway through a job sorting out the plumbing for a young couple with kids. I'm installing a shower for them and and making sure the water supply has good pressure and is clean. She shower is almost done. I just need to check the water supply and make sure it's clean and uncontaminated as it's a very old house. I've sorted out the pipes and heating.
I should be finished with the job today. I'll get them to sign some safety certificates and give them a brief on what I've done. And then they can move in with guaranteed good water, toilets, heating.. If they have a problem, then I'll sort it out.
Installing the shower is a bit tricky and I need a tiler to cover the holes I've made. We'll clean up and it's good to go.
