I also grew up in a small town, but it was a nigger infested swamp.
It rained ash for 5 months every year during sugarcane season too. Absolute hellhole.
I went to college and moved to nice area in Upper South. Now, I live in a white town and commute for work.
Americans are pretty used to ghettoized shitskins. Plus a lot of small towns are still exclusively white in US.
It's going to be interesting how your peoples respond to this. It will definitely change the EU as we know it today, but I easily see a rightwing insurgence over there.
