I dunno about Asian Americans, but native asians living in asian countries like white people well enough. I visited Cambodia, and everyone there is very friendly to whites. Often they take great enthusiasm in practicing english with you. Of course, this may be distorted by my experience as a visitor, rather than someone living there.

I have come to regard this as a key sign, having also briefly traveled through some parts of the third world.
When they start forming insular groupings and not speaking English turns into not even being any good at speaking English is about when you have to say that's as far as it should go. At that point, there's still a workable mutual agreement that everybody is happy to be friendly and get along.
