Is democracy a meme, /pol/? Why do democratic nations try and impose "democracy" on other countries? What's democratic about that?

Democracy is just another form of tyranny wrapped in the cloth of freedom and equality. Democracy always ends in Dictatorship when it gets too far out of hand. It's noble objectives are eventually subverted. Its why it was best left in the history books when it failed 1000s of years ago in ancient greece.

I was thinking that democracy could be refined into a system, where the population is divided into residents and citizens.
citizenship could be attained by fulfilling these two prerequisites.
1) Being born and having lived in the country for atleast 10 years
2a) doing citizenship service (basically our current conscription but voluntary)
2b) having atleast 2 childern and being a parent present in their lives (no single mother who ride the cock carousel)

It was coopted as a codeword for Communism 100+ years ago. See for instance "Students for a Democratic Society" which was nothing more than an outright Communist invasion trying to pretend to be something people would get on board with as a good-sounding idea.

Democracy claims to be for the people and at the same time claims that authoritarian nations are oppressive to people. In realty, democracy is tyranny while authoritarian nations are liberated.
