Hanford isn't a nuclear plant, it's a waste disposal site retard. The local "watchdog" (and i use even that term loosely) has been going chicken little for months. The facility's containers were only meant to last a certain number of years so they need to pump the waste into newer, better designed containers. The old containers have a gap between hulls for redundancy and they expected the inner hulls to have been breeched so they developed protocols to deal with it before they even began pumping. Of course, the inner hulls were indeed breached, and they acted accordingly with their contingency plans. Every time they go into the inner hull radiation spikes, while any living human is nowhere near anything remotely radioactive. you can google this and any result not coming from this bullshit watchdog will plainly state the real story. Even Gizmodo fell for the chicken little bullshit.

just look at the japanese media during fukushima. for weeks they were telling the japs that lived around fukushima prefecture not to panic.
