The attack dog's job is to basically spam Trump and make him waste his time, and hopefully make him say something the media can attack him on too.
What I don't understand is how the establishment can't see Trump's bluffs. Anybody he attacks he knows he must destroy. Ergo, he sees them as an obstacle or a threat. Because Warren was going to be the Clinton VP, it was a threat. He bluffed his threat, and they seem to be backing down. The worst case scenario would be for Clinton to pick Warren regardless of what Trump says. If they call Trumps bluff then Trump will only be able to counter with more bluffs.
