I dont know how realistic bedouin female warrior is so i am not going to talk about that, but i remember reading about this interesting tradition that some bedouin tribes had token young female that rode with the warriors and encouraged them with songs or poems, often boosting morale greatly.
They were more often than not killed because they rode around the battlefield in midst of ongoing battle. There actually was a case where said female being killed caused a rout despite the side having advantage.
