I think there is a great debate to be had within the Alt-right/far-right/WN/traditionalist(I know about alt-right cucks and I don't mean them so don't meme me) which can be roughly framed as Nationalist vs Traditionalist. Not that they are opposed, they are different paths to reaching the same thing. A traditionalist would be someone who wants to rebuild the old order that is dying and decayed. Rip out the cancer and restore the institutions to MAGA, make w,e your country is great again. This approach obviously can't adopt revolutionary attitudes and must seek to build a movement that is peaceful and tolerant(tolerant in the true meaning of the term, you tolerate things you hate - leftists use tolerant as a synonym for acceptance) to reform piecemeal towards the system they love.
Nationalists on the other hand, and I know I am not using terms very correctly, would be ostrogothic towards the old order and believe that it is no longer possible to rebuild it and seek to reach for a new paradigm with a new base and new institutions. You are right about cultural nationalism. Though the term I am more familiar with is civic nationalism. Civic nationalism is a term adopted by the leftists in European secessionist movements. They want to create a new nation but they want to do it on disgusting left wing rationalisms.
