I know it's a troll post, but let me say that me, my wife, and my kids all love our involvement with doing reenactments. Being a part of the SCA is a ton of fun for either yourself as an individual or as a family. Besides, how often to you meet people that say "Yes, I'm a blacksmith that makes medieval armor" or "I make weapons and shields in my free time." It's a great conversation starter. I mean hell, you can making a Viking age shield with good materials for around... $80? Then you can sell that shit to your fellow SCA members (or just online) for around $200. It's great, man. I run a little side business alongside my main job just making stuff for people and I bring in an extra $1500 a month on average. You may not get it Brazil but we here in America do more than just explore the Amazon river and scream at people on DOTA 2.
