I think you're correct, but in the wrong way. Actually most people don't know about Hillary's evil deeds, and the only reason they know about Trump's is the media. Most people don't know shit about politics beyond whatever the media tells them or facebook memes. What I think will happen is Trump will bring up bad things about Hillary that people didn't know, but then the media will spin it as "not as bad as he made it sound" (ex: Politifact """checking""") while simultaneously making his sound worse than they are. They will then enter a feedback loop of passing around shitty memes reinforcing the half truths on both sides. Hillary supporters already have to overcome strong bias to even begin to accept something bad about her and I think the media will be the force that stops it from happening.
