He is considered liberal for where we live (Deep South), but to me he seems more conservative than liberal.
Biggest thing is that he understands that tradition usually exists for a reason and that you shouldn't fuck with until you're sure you know why it exists in the first place, and you're sure that the new system will be better.
He also highly values individualism, has an almost puritanical work ethic, and even though he rarely makes the jokes himself, he has a non-pc sense of humor.
