Race is a lot more than skin color. Race determines bone stucture, muscle density and type, intelligence, behavior, ect.
There are fundamental differences between the environments in which each race evolved, and therefore fundamental differences in the adaptations of each race which allow it to be best suited for said environment. It would be extremely ignorant to think that skin color is the only adaptation made by races in the 600,000 years since the spread of humans across Asia and Europe.
