I feel like canada has more war potential than mexico does. Consider this. Before WWI canada had 0 navy, 0 airforce, and a limited army, at the end of the war, we had the 3rd or 4th (cant remember which) biggest navy in the world, and one of the leading early airforces, and many soldiers participated because we conscripted them quickly.
Same sort of story for WWII.
I feel like in a year or two we would've morphed into full military mode. + Canada knows how to make nukes so we could maybe produce them if we felt balsy.

In the modern age Canada is probably one of the strongest countries in the world maybe barring russia.
We have rich uranium fields and are the world's leading designer and producer of nuclear energy facilities all over the world. If canada desired it could become a powerful nuclear nation with a devastating arsenal in a matter of months.
And in the event of a nuclear war Canada has vast uninhabited agricultural land. It would be impossible to nuke a country like Canada into submission because our country is too big and too spread out. However other "strong" nations like those in Europe could be completely annihilated with 1 or 2 well placed Canadian nuclear weapons. Places like the united states and latin america are always so close to civil strife that once we nuke their utilities they will descend into civil war almost immediately. Canada on the other hand could never and would never descend into civil strife during wartime. It would be opposite of our nation's character.
For these reasons you should be wary of Canada because wherever you are from we could likely obliterate your wimpy country if we had to. It's why America hasn't dared to fuck with us since we annihilated their capital in 1812.

tough call. I don't know any of the stats but off the top of my head I'd say Canada has a smaller army so thats a point to Mexico.
Historically speaking Canadian soldiers are said to be brave and effective in combat, we won large battles in ww1 and ww2. Mexican soldiers are also brave but there are many examples of them getting BTFO, so point to Canada.
Since America is not involved in any way the battles have to take place by sea or an invasion force. I don't believe either countries have particularly great navies but the Canadian army has proven they can handle amphibious assaults, which would likely make us the invaders so point to Canada.
Mexico would be defending their homes which we arguably make them fight harder than normal, but they would be fighting a country that has proven experience in this kind of war so that evens out.
I'm not sure who would win this desu. Canada does not have the capacity in population to make any invasion last long term, so the Mexican people would eventually overthrow us even if we beat their armies, and theres no way in hell Canadians would lose a ground war in Canada to anyone but Americans (thats a biased opinion but fuck everyone).
