Why do people still rent over the age of 30?

I just moved into a house share aged 24 and the 4 other people are all over 30.
>>

>>

Because it's affordable here
>>
>>72531149
It has been two weeks and i already don't like it.
>>
>>72531097

Cause they fell for the YOLO meme.

These fucking human garbage faggots enjoyed their 20's SO MUCH that they didn't really set up any good framework for the next decade. They didnt make any meaningful relationship work due to being degenerates so now if they want to get out of rent they will have to do it with their own power with no support whatsoever.

So their 30's will consist of them working as disgusting wage slaves, complaining about not finding the right one, or making the same mistake and keep "livin the life" forgetting that you will fucking get old at some point.

>Im a grown man, but i share rent
>I will rent all my life

Fuck you, just fucking die you waste
>>
>>72531097
This is really the reason behind the low birth rates all over I guess. My parents could start working at 16, buy a house in their early 20ies and start popping out children.

Today hardly anyone above 30 owns even a flat yet, and have to get a masters degree... at least.. so closing at 30 and most renting a shitty small flat with no room to get children and no child friendly env.

It's sick mate, I own a small app my self and am in my 30ies. It's different in the districts though, some places you can still get cheap houses, but no work there. I want to sell my shit and move back to the ctry side tbqh. No work these days either so...

Fucking prices on these things.. lit making you a slave your entire life, and for fucking what? A basic house.. people used to make this them self by my grandfathers and partly fathers gen
>>

I have one roommate and she's a 8/10 qt3.14. I couldn't imagine living with another person.

I'm 27, make $15 an hour, didn't fall for the "get a college degree" meme and I've saved up $62,000 over the years. I'm going to buy a cheap house with a fat down payment at around 30 or so. It's not hard to save money if you just don't buy stupid shit. I don't understand where their money goes to. Tons of people think a paycheck is a ticket to blow that much money in a pay period and then complain to Bernie Sanders that they cant live like this. It's called living below your means you retards.
>>

>Throwing your money away to some Jew and getting nothing to shore for it but a temporary roof over your head
Why do people do this
>>
>>72532468

Basically this. I dont want to share my house permantly so i can just airbnb this shit when i feel like it. Now im saving 30% of the next property i will buy.

Plan before i get to 40 will be to have at least 3 appartments and use that rent money to chill and upgrade my own place every couple years. (Im 28 btw, was also going to get married, to a white american woman, but guess how that fucking turned out. i wish i knew about /pol/ before).

Now I can just sit and wait for a good woman to show up while i do the things I like and i dont pressure myself with that anymore.
>>
>>72532842
This is also my plan but i am only 24.

>>72532776
The other 4 housemates all have degrees which i find funny, meanwhile I'm ex Army and working a smiliar paid job as most of them if not even better paid.

People our age have been brainwashed by our parents and teachers that you need a college degree to succeed, but often times the kid ends up getting a useless degree and it becomes more of a burden than a successful investment. I'm an idiot at most all STEM shit so I knew that finishing college would be like throwing time and money into a black hole. I'm technically doing better than the average person my age and that's fucking sad.
>>
>>72534064
I couldnt even get into university in the UK, feels good man.

It's more about who you know anyway literally 90% of the time.
>>
>>72532294
Nigger, a house is an investment. You aren't "stuck with it."
>>
I only pay 400 a month for a nice cottage I earn 80k a year. I don't want to be tied down.
>>
>>72534265
You probably dodged a bullet then, if someone couldn't get into any college here they'd throw a temper tantrum and petition Bernie Sanders, calling it an injustice that they can't pursue their dream of getting a degree in Communications
>>
>>72532294
It's called reverse mortgage, you should google it sometime
>>
>>72531616
What do you do when niggers come over and fuck her?
>>
I have to figure that out soon. I"m about to graduate and I plan on becoming a CPA. I don't want to live at home for too long--maybe only a couple of years. After that I was thinking of getting an apartment. I'll be really lonely though. Girls will never want to date or marry me because girls only like guys who are outgoing and muscular. A shy and average guy can only get used goods and I don't want to be a cuck.
>>
>>72534064
You forgot the part where any above minimum job now demands a degree

It is not like there is a choice in the matter
>>
>>72531616

>>
>>72534546

That's an exaggeration, also your qualifications don't mean shit at an entry-level job in which you get in by knowing a guy who knows a guy. Way cheaper and more effective to just network and meet people who later you can hit them up for a job.

If you mortgaged that house and had 4 people pay rent to you, you'd have it paid off in a few years. Now who's the stupid idiot?
>>
>>72534916
Lol

It works only if you are from a rich high status family,in which case you were going to "win" at life regardless of what you do so it is not relevant.

For us "normal" plebs it is either degree or unemployment

>muh trades

Only way to get in if your family member is in it. And my country is not even that bad in Spain youth unemployment is staggering 50%.
>>
I have enough money for a house but I like living in different places too much to commit. I've lived in 3 different cities in the past 10 years since moving out and it's way better than staying in one spot.
>>
>>72531097
Buying a house isn't for everyone. Some of us don't want to be tied down to one location for the next 10+ years.
>>
>>72534987
Only possible if your father/mother is in. They wont take anyone from the side.

And these jobs are really limited anyways, there is no demand to enter indipendantly. Times have changed.

I got lucky because family friend got me a job. But otherwise i would be homeless and i even have a degree as well.

It's harder to get loans nowadays at least from larger banks. If you notice, they're working hard to stop people from owning property: rent instead of own, don't own cars, don't own land, and so on.
>>
>>72531097

It happens when you have not found your place in the world yet. Houses are great but they chain you down.

Everywhere else in the country is fine.

Indeed, were you living anywhere else, you wouldn't be in a fucking flatshare with 4 other people.

Because I don't want to pay money for upkeep, homeowner's association fees, or property tax. Also I don't want to live in the US long term. I'd rather live in a nice apartment by myself.

Maybe some of us live in really expensive areas and need to have roommates. I don't want to be a cuck complaining about rent when roommates are an option. Here in Southern California the minimum price for a shit box in the ghetto is 300k.

The market only crashed because of the 2008 crisis.

If your neighborhood or city starts to go downhill it can take months to sell your house which is depreciating as property taxes go up because taxpayers are fleeing...
If you rent and you don't like your new neighbors you just leave the keys on the kitchen counter and leave. The most you can lose is your security deposit.

Move out of fucking London.

Average house price in London is half a million.

This is what half a mll gets you outside Edinburgh:

>>72531097
Because of the housing market anon.

In the UK it's always has stability with lending levels and average house prices around 3.5 times average earnings.

Now it's 10x average (25k) in most of the heavily populated South east.

Boomers have enjoyed several booms and crashes since the 1970s but the current government being absolute fucktards wanting to buy the boomer vote are hell bent on propping up the market with public money on market distorting subsidies.

If you want sensible economic rationale for the state of the housing market go to housepricecrash.co.uk and read the exonomics and house prices forum.

You will understand very quickly how housing is used in this country in a way most do not.

You don't man. If you don't like to deal with people just stay where you are and just buy another apartment for rent.

I know a guy that saved for years, put the downpayment for a house in the historic center, turned all those rooms (Huge as fuck old houses) Into private small apartments that they rent to tourists, and in the first floor he opened a dancing academy. That shit will get paid so fast your head will spin, and after that since he lives in that same house everything he gets from it will be profit.

I kinda hate people so I will buy a small 1 floor house (Because fuck apartments in a city close to a fault), and rent the rest of the properties I buy.

I can not afford a house anywhere near civilization in my country.

The Jews have won, I will never own property until I retire and move up north to the middle of nowhere.
>>
>>72531097

I owned a house at 22. Technically I still do, but I let my ex rent it from me at the cost of mortgage plus she handled upkeep. We'd considered selling and moving before 2008, but jobs didn't like up. The value still hasn't recovered.

Meanwhile I rent about 30 miles away, walking distance to my job. Landlord is nice, I don't need to worry about the yard or maintenance. I can't say I want to be in this situation at 40, but right now it works.
