When you say you don't know the people coming in, their ethnicity, but know what kind of people they are, I'm not fully convinced. Any ol brown person could be labeled a criminal but not necessarily illegal. Also I thought the terrorists who caused 911 immigrated to and from Canada to America. That said, I don't see the harm in wanting to know who exactly is immigrating as long as everyone is treated fairly at the border.
