Most welsh aren't multiculti progressive cucks. They did, however, get extremely butthurt about Thatcher and turn their support to trade unionists and by proxy socialists. No party that calls itself conservative will make progress here just because there's so much bad blood there.
However since all the economic left parties have steadily become more and more socially leftist parties, they've retained that vote share and managed to get elected on a platform of ridiculous progressive policies because of it.
Since it worked so well for Labour, Plaid copied the model - especially from the early 90s and onwards - and gained a lot of popularity with metropolitan leftist voters as well as their traditional voterbase of welsh speakers in ceredigion and north wales.
Therefore we have a massive majority of leftist, progressive faggots in the welsh assembly and an overwhelmingly Labour representation in Westminster.

The eisteddfod is as popular as ever and we actually celebrate our national saint day, unlike England which is truly unfortunate. As an Irish northern nationalist i have to agree with the guy talking about the generation gap. I think its mostly due to the north being such a backwater, the socalist republicans literally act as if its 1916 when it seemed like socalism might be the cool new thing. They just ignore the last 90 years of history and this has made them very vulnerable to globalist SJWisms. For example, being stuck in the old "brothers of the revolution" mindset with support for palestine, has switched to a more general pro-muslim/antiwest among some of the more extreme types.
I'd say the Queens side of it is the same as any other western uni, hopefully Trumps election and the coming realignment on the continent occur before they can do too much damage.
