Reports of a shooting in a carpark at a Bankstown shopping centre.

Of course, it must be a mistake- there's no guns in Australia because we told criminals not to have them.

Not quite. It was about 18 months ago - the Christmas before last - and she stabbed seven of her eight children - the eighth arrived home to find the bodies - as well as another child, a friend who was staying over.

So yeah, kinda worse than what you think. They were all asleep - the speculation is that she doped them up with something to keep them asleep but the courts haven't finished with the case yet.

Sup guys, I was just there. The guy got shot outside the gym I go to just before I got there and there was a massive crowd with a bunch of distressed people and women crying downstairs. (pic related).

Bunch of muslims with tattoos were also trying to get up so it's not hard to guess who was responsible.

>>
>>72389627

Spot on.

Sky news just advises victim involved in fatal killing of another Muslim crime figure last week. So this is payback.

Not sure if the others hurt where involved in any way or just in the wrong place. But seriously outside the entrance to the gym, busy carpark, it could a been worse.

But yeah, what's the point if gun control when every muslim scumbag in western Sydney has access to weapons and terrorizes whole neighbourhoods.

I find it amusing that people who want to ban guns thinking it will reduce gun crime.
Especially when they point to Australia as being a "gun control success story".

Australia is having an increase in crime, and has had one since the gun ban in 1997. Gun crime HAS gone down, yet what anti-gunners will not tell you is that it was dropping BEFORE the ban.

This.

Australia is rife with gun crime. It does my head in to hear, '20 years since Pt Arthur we've got no gun crime'.

Yet everyone happy to overlook drive by here, young jihadis shooting a single person before cops take them down before they do anymore damage, the gangster lawyer gunned down there, the lebbos shooting each others brains out every other week. My favourite was the attack in Sydney's west couple weeks back, bikie shooting at others, all he managed to do was killed a random Iraqi refugee who was driving past. His car veered off the road and ran over the intended victims anyway.

We have 2.75 million registered guns in Australia held by 730,000 licence holders or 3.15% of the population owning guns.

Canada has 5.5 million guns to 1.6 million licence holders (before the registry was scrapped in 2012) or 5.4% of the population owning guns.

And your Possession and Acquisition Licence is virtually identical to our firearms licence.

Sorry, you're not any better.

It differs state to state but the basics are:

>All gun owners must be licensed

>All guns must be registered

>All guns must be stored in a safe when not in use

>All gun owners must have a "Genuine Reason" for having their weapons - this may include hunting and competitive use but may not include self defence (with the exception of security workers, etc).

>All handguns for sporting purposes must have a mag capacity of 10rds or less and a barrel of at least 5 inches

>Bolt action and manually cycled rifles are fairly easy to obtain; semi-auto rimfires are... difficult but possible to obtain; semi-auto centrefire weapons are not possible for the vast majority of shooters to obtain

>Most states mandate a "cooling off" period of 28 days before your first "permit to acquire" - the permission from police to register a particular gun - will be processed.

>All gun licences are not permanent, but must be renewed periodically with various requirements on renewal state to state. In my state, I can sign a form saying my details are unchanged; in other states, you must prove your genuine reason all over again

>Safes are subject to minimum requirements that vary from state to state. In general, safes for rifles may be solid timber or steel, and need to be bolted down if they weigh less than about 330lbs. In general, for handguns, they must be steel, and must be bolted down.

>Carrying a weapon for the hell of it is generally not permitted - you are licensed to carry the weapon to and from where it is being lawfully used.

There are other bits and pieces, but that's a rough outline that's generally accurate across the whole country.
>>
Geeze, that sucks.

The photos he posted were all bolt action rifles and double barrel shotguns on their shelves.

>Station attendant grabs his rifle

>Martin Bryant flees the scene

Little bit of trivia there. Everyone in that petrol station is alive because the owner could possess a rifle easily.

The cafe and cottage had such a high death count because Bryant could just walk around shooting people cowering on the ground. Knowing TOURISTS couldn't have guns to defend themselves.

Tasmania had high rates of gun ownership, if he tried that in a coffee shop in Hobart he would of been gunned down in a few minutes.

He choose Port Arthur because he was a tourist area with restricted access.

A report that must be based on very little fact I'd assume.
As there is NO EVIDENCE ANYWHERE to show that the gun laws had ANY EFFECT on violent crime and all they did was ruin guns for an entire generation

It's kinda blown over for now but get ready for the next chapter

The dead dudes associates will know who topped him off. Revenge attack pending in 3, 2, 1.

And I don't buy the 'if its just Italian mafia or Lebanese bikies killing each other why does it matter?'. They're not the ones who suffer, ultimately its just regular people who pay the price for the criminal underworlds in fighting. Whether its tighter gun controls, collateral damage, politician grandstanding.

Or in my case being held up for a flight. A couple years ago I was flying outta Sydney. Airport got closed coz the lebbos had met someone arriving, killed him in the arrivals hall. Police, security couldn't stop it, wasn't just a simple shooting, they destroyed him with metal bollards in front of hundreds if people. Closed the airport for the day.
