Fraternities teach their members how to operate in a business setting. Our weekly meetings are similar to those of board of directors meetings. Members in leadership position gain the most because they are forced to plan events, lead the chapter, and negotiate with nationals and the university when things get fucked.
They are good institutions. The reason people hate them is because we stand in the way of "progress." The other reason people hate us because people are too socially inept to get a bid.
