Democrats are the ones putting taxes on businesses. Why? Because the major corporations lobby for them to. Why would they want to do that? They can afford it, so all it does is smash small businesses. The ones lining the pockets of the billionaires are the Democrats.

people aren't building more hospitals and colleges

the fundamental problem with healthcare is that it promotes a partial-payer system, where the range of prices offered is acceptable to only part of the market and the rest get dicked in the ass because they don't have a middleman

either we build more hospitals and start more healthcare companies or we get rid of the system entirely

having taxpayers pay for the ridiculous prices charged in hospitals is trying to fix a leak with dollar bills. it will actually get more expensive over time because hospitals are going to get as much taxpayer dosh as they can get away with since competition is so limited. even though Europe has free healthcare, their taxes are significantly higher than ours and we're paying for their defense while they bend over for potential terrorists

I honestly thought Obama's 2 free years of community college would have been a good idea. You take all the trash classes ("diversity" requirements and other garbage) at CC and transfer to whatever college you want later.

Also, people who push the meme that liberal arts majors are even somewhat employable are causing student loans to go up

The trick behind this particular piece of misinformation is that the top three figures (reflecting cost of living) have not been adjusted for inflation, but the bottom figure (reflecting income) has been adjusted for inflation. This inconsistency gives the false impression that increases to cost of living since 1978 have far outpaced wage growth.

When we adjust for inflation with every figure instead of just those we pick and choose, we see the reality of the situation. Since 1978, the cost of living in nominal figures has gone up dramatically. The same is true, however, for wages—an increase of 288% since 1978. Adjusting some figures for inflation, but not all, is an incredibly dishonest misrepresentation of reality.

Everyone is crying about the pay of 500 fortune 500 company CEOs...yet, the compensation of these men, the very wealthiest in our nation, has risen about 75% as much as college expenses. We really need to cut college expenses. Too much administration, too many useless professors, and endless taxpayers subsidies to pay for it all. Sigh....

Truth is anathema to politicians. You will never get it from any of them. We need to start voting with our trigger fingers.

It's supply-side economics. Don't worry, they'll definitely create jobs and lower prices one of these days if you throw more money at them. Just like how welfare encourages poor blacks to work.

>Minimum wage in 1978: $2.65
>Minimum wage now: $7.25

minimum wage has gone up more than doubled, but apparently average income has onlly gone up 7%.

I'm gonna need some sources on this.

In the case of liberals, trigger fingers turn to twitter fingers.
