Why did "No Child Left Behind" - the big, expensive conservative education reform law signed by George W. Bush - fail so badly? The US senate actually replaced it last year because it was such a fucking mess.
>>
>>72258060
It required schools to have disability access. Rural schools couldn't afford the renovations and shut down. It left far more kids behind than the few invalids it allowed to schools.
>>
>>72258060
Because everything with left in it fails miserably.
>>
Education legislation is largely a fucking mess and fails to take into account many, many things, most frequently the differences between schools in funding and student body.
>>

pic looks like dubya getting instructions from the bull on how to prep the hotwife
>>

It mandated every student be above average.

Here comes the redpill on american school system:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx4pN-aiofw

>>72258521

It has nothing to do with funding and everything to do with bad teachers/unions and incredibly dumb system telling people where they have to go too school based on where they live.
>>
>>72258060
That's fucked up. How did education fail when WE SPENT OVER A TRILLION DOLLARS ON DEFENSE?
>>
Let me tell you how it went: Regular classes became """"advanced"""" classes, and new """"regular"""" classes were made for the idiots. This largely killed actual advanced classes.
>>
>>72258060
Because the amount of money the federal government spends has no correlation to niggers' ability to learn.
>>
>>72258823

Yeah it's totally because of lack of funding even though America spends way more money on schools then most other industrialized countries.

Vote bernie 2016!

I can tell you that teachers would stand over my autistic son and tell him what to write during exams....maybe that's why it failed?
Well meaning but flawed bcuz linked to school funding - test results 4 cash basically.
>>
because the american public school system is a socialist nightmare that combines progressive feminist doublethink with Lord of the Flies tier social structuring and seems to exist mainly to teach people to sit at a desk and take out massive loans for a "higher education" degree that will never get them a job.
>>
>>72258460
Underrated
>>
>>72258823
the US spends a huge amount on schools but students learn basically nothing.

why the fuck are children "educated" until 18 but leave school with zero fucking job skills?

Is every young person in america college material? Are most young people? do we need millions of gender studies and english majors but no electricians or mechanics?
>>
>>72258460
Yeah. Bush is a Democrat. The thing is is that the Republigoy party has always been the big goobermint party

It was the vanguard to push Common Core through, which was the real goal all along. First you put Federal Standards in place, then you cry "Oy Vey! We need a Federal Curriculum so these children can meet the Federal Standards and not be left behind!". You spin doctor the whole thing as some sort of exercise in free market competition between schools to slip it past Conservatives... But the fact that it never allowed for school choice should've been a dead give away that that was just a bunch of bullshit and it was always about Greater Control of Public Education by the Federal Government.
>>

>conservative

I think you mean bipartisan. Ted Kennedy sponsored the bill.
>>
>>72258060
>big, expensive government program
>conservative

No. Just because a republican does it, doesn't mean it's conservative.
>>
There are some issues in education policy
While High Frequency testing is by far the cheapest way to improve student test scores, followed by low intensity, they aren't being administered in the correct manner. Also, Common Core just kek'd shit up, and NCLB requiring schools to make continual progress, which is hard in low resource areas.
>>
>>72260264
I guess the big question is, why did CONSERVATIVES support NCLB? Why didn't they call out Bush on his bullshit instead of lining up behind him when it came time to vote?

We understand why Democrats might do it, by why conservatives, too?
>>
>>72260759
Very few Republicans are actually conservative. They talk the talk but they don't walk the walk.
>>
>>72258060
>big, expensive conservative
>big, conservative
>expensive, conservative
>conservative

Because it was big and expensive instead of conservative.
Also the whole premise was flawed, if anything it was a con to hurt school to make them susceptible to common core implementation.
They offered schools money to bail them out from the damage caused by act, but only if they implemented common core.
It created an ultimatum of either having no schools, or having common core schools.

Sorry for the repetition but it's the only way the young common core victims will understand now.
>>
>>72258060
There is nothing conservative about no child left behind
>>
>>72260900
Well, for example, Ted Cruz was one of Bush's domestic policy advisers at the time that NCLB was passed.

Aside from the Ron Paul types, I don't recall many "truecons" speaking out against NCLB.
>>
Telling black kids government thinks they are stupid and need to start from the ladies tee usually doesn't work.
>>
>>72258060
It punished schools that did poorly by cutting funding, which exacerbated problems. Schools can only do so well in broken communities with bad parents.
>>
>>72260759
You mean the politicians right? NCLB was never popular with regular people. That answer should be obvious.

Ted Cruz is a shill. His actions will be consistent with what his wife's employer wants. He doesn't walk the walk. Again, it was a bipartisan bill.

the black population has a problem with standardized test

the hispanic population has a problem with english

every one else did fine and wasnt holding the public schools back

There is no way he would be dumb enough to say this. It's just too blatantly giving the game away.
