I've been told at every stop of the way I'm privileged.
In elementary and middle school I was privileged because I am white and I got less time with the teacher when I needed it and had to spend time with my parents.
In high school I was privileged because I am white so I was still getting less 1x1 time with teachers and expected to understand why chimps would get exceptional grades for shit papers with more spelling and grammar mistakes than correct English while I would be drafting proper MLA/APA papers and get B's/C's.
In college despite the fact my family suffered massive financial strain to the passing of many of my family members I was privileged because I am white so I wasn't able to even be looked at for the majority of scholarships and grants. I was overlooked for even more because I did the responsible thing for society and the community and became a self-sustaining person having a job paying shit. BUT MY PARENTS MAKE X they exclaimed and suddenly I am equivalent to a billionaire. Those spics and niggers are still submitting sub-par work in my classes and getting equivalent grades for sub-par work because of their race AND they get to collect local and federal benefits.
So, who the fuck is the privileged? It certainly isn't white people.
Working harder =//= privilege
Reaping the benefits of working harder my whole life will be the sweetest fruit of them all. I'll establish a trust with all my assets and capital to give out a white only scholarship fund and then be labelled a racist for all time. However, those like me will be there and understand. Heh. I remember in middle school getting a C- on a science paper on Ebola because it was "too scientific".
And that was in the early to mid 90s. Not to mention in elementary school the students being encouraged to use "creative spelling" and "creative math". Also the days of the week and the alphabet being taught to us out of order.
