Not true. If you ever want to be really depressed, sir down and add up all the money you've earned in your life: from paper route and washing dishes, the $10 grandma sent for your birthday every year, straight through to your last paycheck. It's likely to be far larger than you thought. Be startled. Wonder where it all went.

>Believe it or not there's a lot of people on this earth that feel entitled to other people's money. I've met tons of that ilk.

I don't disagree. Assuming you inherited wealth, it must be vexing having people talk out of both sides of their mouth about this shit. While people easily clamor about how it is unfair for the government to take the money that people worked for their entire life via death/estate taxes, in the next breadth they'll criticize people who obtain that money through inheritance, as if they should decide what is the right use of other people's money.

That inconsistency is really annoying.

Fellow richguy here

My advice : don't burn your fortune down, buddy
Living a rich man's life can be fun for a little while but even a shitload of money can go away real fast if you don't care.

As for me, I don't tell people around me that I'm rich. Stay under the radar otherwise I'd be surrounded by golddiggers and false friends. I live a middle/upper class life but nothing too fancy.

If you are clever enough, you won't need to work a single day of your life.

Nigga i used to work as a prop trader, we used to deal in yards (billions), and we got paid a cut on every profits we could turn with that money. 15 millions is nothing by my standards, i've got several times that amount parked in tbonds.
I pay my taxes because i believe in wealth redistribution, i believe my money will be put to good use and if that ends up paying for some engineer's or medic's tuition, i'll be more than happy.

I also believe healthcare should be public and the state should provide a few universal basic services. I'm still not voting for Sanders because he is a race baiting cuck and his voting base believe social services=handouts and muh ebil wall street

You shouldn't share. You should invest. Cut off a few million and have agents here in the US buy up entire city blocks worth of Detroit for pennies on the dollar.

Convert it into a fortress, hire some mercenaries, and establish a forward base for the upcoming Race Wars.

When it is all over and the crows have finished picking the nigger corpses clean you'll then own tens of millions of dollars worth of prime real estate.

I would serve as one of those mercenaries in exchange for only a small plot of land on the outskirts of your territory for family farm when we return home from the killing fields, and one of those young Hongkongian girls to plow.

Because society exists to serve everyone, and once somebody has been successful in that system, they are obligated to put back into public and social programs that benefit those with less opportunities. You do want a healthier middle class, right? It's kind of hard to create, much less sustain, a middle class when the working class has wildly disproportionate access to education, healthcare, and other necessary services.

Rich, sure. "Rich as fuck" is pushing it. With no job or investments of any kind $15 mil isn't going to let you live like a millionaire for your entire life. Especially if you marry a golddigger, and with zero skills or accomplishments and little in the way of personality that's probably the only kind of woman you can attract.

Get smart with your money or you'll end up bankrupt.
>>

>>
>>72220290
This, maybe he is rich as fuck but thats really a lonely life.
Everyone already know who he is and there won't ever be a person who will think "He looks like a nice guy, would be nice to just hang out with him" Or girl thinking "He is so nice and good looking too i might i hope he'll want to go out with me"
Every single person that is around him is there for the money and he must have realized that too...
I really doubt that anyone would hang out with him anymore if he lost all of that wealth.

Sure if you are rich you can live a nice life afford whatever you want and all but what he does is just way too much.
>>
>>72220013

>Dumbass people man. Who cares what Mr Jones, the electrician, thinks anyway.

That is a good perspective to have. I think a lot of people are too young or inexperienced though to really think through what they are saying.

I don't have terrible high means, but I want my family to be better off than myself, and by work and effort that can be done. It confuses me that there is a litmus test where one can be "too successful," therefore people feel justified in siphoning off that success to give it to people who had no skin in the game to begin with.

If I would become wildly successful, which is unlikely as multiple tiered social mobility is rare, would I want my efforts to be distributed away? I don't think most would, and I surely would not.

I guess for people outside of the upper class it is simply sour grapes and envy, whilst failing to recognize that the competition in life is not all about other people's means. A lot can be said simply by improving one's own lot in life.

This. Compound interest is huge, and the earlier you start, the better. If you started at age 16, simply putting in the yearly personal limit of $5,500 into a Roth IRA in an S&P 500 index with historical return rates, you'd be able to live a modest life purely off the interest by the time you retire.

Workplace IRAs and Health Savings Accounts are also great ways to shelter money from taxes.

I am an Italian scientist in Germany seeking investors for a company i have started, involving mining activities.

You would have a chance of 50% ROI in 15 years.

These are the things you should give your money for.

But your 15 mil isnt enough alone. I need more investors.
>>
>>72221227
To minimize risk, investment can be more complicated because then you have to hire a firm to analyze the data of exactly what the profits for many ventures could be, and which one is the best to pick. Basically they'd do the deciding for you of what to invest in. You can always go at it alone though, just throw some money at a CEO of a start-up venture and get a percentage of the growth.

I mention football because the wave of investment opportunity in English education is dying out; you and I both know there's English schools on just about every corner. Only children however can be shy and require team-building skills to harden themselves. Thus, football is becoming a really popular after-school activity.

Take finance courses, even if you don't work in that field, you need to know about it, it's in your best interest.

Seek council, both professional (there are a lot of private fortune management specialists) and in your social circle (even if you're not friend with em, stay in touch with other rich people)

Be familiar with the nature of your assets (stocks, real estate..), their yield in your overall fortune, and the yearly revenue they bring you. Keep fresh info about the stocks you own, what kind of companies are involved. With enough time, effort and council, you can start selling and buying wisely.
Remember two things :
-Never put your eggs in the same basket. Diversify a lot.
-If you don't feel confident enough to buy and sell actively, remember that dividends are a steady source of revenue and that you don't need to be a 1337 tr4d3r to earn them. As Gordon Gecko said, when it comes to dividends, "I create nothing, I own"

Born this way, yet was only aware of it in my early 20's
My parents kept a low profile all along, both of them come from a modest background and my father got rich during the 60's and 70's
Learning that you own millions is a shocker. Brutally changes your whole outlook on life and can really drive you over the edge, but I kept my head cool so far. Guess I'll follow their modest path. I don't feel the urge to pile up shitload of money as a trader. Doing what I love for a living looks way more important to me.
So, to answer your question : no it doesn't make you happier, but it sure lifts many obstacles out of the way. I know I'll never need to do shit jobs in order to eat and that's a fucking relief.

If you have no experience with finance, you are probably best off just placing your money into an annuity and skimming the interest for living expenses. You are in the great position of being able to live off of interest while never having to put any risk on the $15 million of starting capital.

>>72221683

>Of course there is risk.. There is always risk.

Correct.

>What are you a pussy?

No, I'm generally smart with money.

>You would have a chance of 50% ROI in 15 years.

These numbers are bad. The risk of investment into a single business is very high, and a 15 year 50% ROI is awful.

The S&P 500 would historically equal those returns in that time while having significantly lower risk due to the diversification of stock. Actually, one would expect to make nearly double that amount with the reinvestment of dividends and capital gains.

I know. This is the state of things right now unfortunately.

But as i said we are working on proof of concept and finding suppliers.

It should be possible to cut down the 15 years to maybe 7-10. And depending on the price of metals.. There could be a significantly higher ROI. Particularly in reference to platinum, germanium, etc.
>>
>>72222154
I asked because my husband does trade from time to time if some companies here need lumber for remodeling projects. I'll give you my email. Just tell me what parts you're interested in and he can find good suppliers. [email protected]

I know a guy who's getting out of Schaefflor's machinist training school pretty soon. Would you have a use for a newbie machinist who knows the basic principals and how to operate standard machine tools, but has little actual work experience?

Or are you strictly looking for managerial personnel right now?

CFP, Certified Financial Planner is the designation for a "gold standard" personal financial professional.

When looking for one you are better off going for fee-based than for commission based. You do not want a person who gets a commission from selling you products, rather one who charges for time and advice.

Also, be 100% clear that anyone who will handle your money has a fiduciary duty. This means they they accept the legal requirement to provide you with the best option for your financial situation or they could lose their license. Normal stock brokers are not required to be a fiduciary, so they can sell you investment products that are worse for you (as long as they are in the same realm) if it makes them more commission.

Spread out your wealth through multiple institutions. If one goes belly up, you want to limit risk or annoying in dealing with that. Many government based investments have zero risk, as they are backed by the full faith and credit of the US government. Banks also insure up to $250,000 with FDIC, so you cannot lose that money even if the bank collapses. It will be reimbursed.

Annuities as I've said prior are a decent idea in your situation, as they will have higher returns than bank CDs, while also being very safe systemically, and keep your principle wholly protected.

How can people buy your products and services and make you rich, if they don't have any money?

It does sound interesting, but I feel like investors are going to eat up a lot of your business equity due to the risk of a start-up in the precious metals and mining sector.

Do you have a lot of competition? What competitive advantages are you trying to gain over them? What do you think their income/cash flow/balance sheets look like?
>>
>>72220903

A no-risk annuity would have a shitload of fees and would barely grow the principle at all.

Sure, he could live like a mid-career surgeon or big law attorney, but those guys aren't at the level where they can buy whatever they want or take private jets everywhere. They're rich, not rich as fuck.

Also, most rich people (like HK Anon's) dad want to pass their wealth along to the next generation. If he can't find a way to replace the money he spends he's going to be the one to end the family's success.

>A no-risk annuity would have a shitload of fees and would barely grow the principle at all.

A 3-4% rate of growth would be adequate. A current 5-year CD can get 2%, so there are options available regardless.

>Sure, he could live like a mid-career surgeon or big law attorney, but those guys aren't at the level where they can buy whatever they want or take private jets everywhere. They're rich, not rich as fuck.

He has no experience in the financial sector or investing whatsoever. Telling him to take strategies that put his money and principle at risk in that scenario is foolish.

The flip side of what you've said would be the lottery winner who loses their entire wealth within a few years only to end up bankrupt and destitute.

I think most people would not dismiss the ability to live like a surgeon their entire lives without risk while still having $15 million to pass on (even if that is reduced to $8 million in real money).

>Also, most rich people (like HK Anon's) dad want to pass their wealth along to the next generation. If he can't find a way to replace the money he spends he's going to be the one to end the family's success.

His father's goals of carrying on the money through the generations might not be OP's goal. If you ever give out financial advice to someone, then you look at THEIR financial situation first and foremost. You would only care about legacy if that was OP's wish, and that would only be reasonable if he had a better command of his own finances and responsibilities, which he could do in time. Now is not that time.
>>
>>72223441

because I think we've seen enough times what happens when rich people think they can get away with just leaving poor people to their misery

If I was rich I'd buy a lot of DCR
Decred is like "Bitcoin 2.0" - it's going to be huge
But people don't understand that yet
It's cheap as fuck at the moment, $1.40 per coin
It's going to be at least $10 in 2-3 months

You could make 1 million into 10 millions easily

It's not "just another coin" - it has important technical and governance improvements over Bitcoin

I'm not shilling it because I have lots of it and want the price to increase

Unforutnately I'm a poorfag so I don't have a lot of DCR

but if I had money, that's where I would invest it

Screencap this Slovenian and check Decred's price in 3 to 6 months time

Wise decision. Tell them to inquire about the new cryptocurrency that is like Bitcoin but has tech advantages such as the Blake256 hashing algo and a decentralized system of governance where you can vote with your coins on dev decisions.

It also has Proof of Stake built in so that just by holding coins, you will get rewarded more coins. Sort of like an interest.

Show them this link:

https://dcrstats.com/articles/understanding-the-value-of-the-decred-dcr-system

And if they say :how is this different from other Bitcoin-like crypto-currencies

tell them this is developed by people who were working on Bitcoin core development

So Bitcoin developers created this

imagine if I told you to invest in Bitcoin years ago when Bitcoin was $2 like Decred is now

one Bitcoin is $400 now... you would have multiplied your money by factor 200 , which is insane
