When I lived in California I hated bringing my pit out on public because I trained that thing with strict discipline, pretty much Cesar Milan style. Any little tsst and the dog would immediately walk away.
My animal loving neighbor would freak out and think that I was abusing the dog. She immediately gives me a lecture on "positive reinforcement and distraction training."
