Men are expected to message first. Men are expected to set the date. Men are expected to be the more desirable one.
Unless you're a Chad, if you're a normal 6-7/10 dude, your odds of getting another date are lower compared to a 6-7/10 woman. The odds are extremely against men.

Because the moment a man admits he is desperate for female companionship, he disqualifies himself, and making a profile on a dating site is doing just that.
They will only ever work for casual sex, e.g. Tinder. Sure you'll have the odd couple who met online here and there but those are extremely few and an exception.

Meaningful human communication doesn't work via text, it's really as simple as that. Text communication literally forces everyone to become autistic, unable to understand anything that is not explicitly stated.
