I like simple crosses like England's flag, Switzerland's flag, The Nordic countries, etc.
I don't really like bland striped ones like Ukraine's or Romania's. I think it only works with certain colors.

they were excellent fighters, pretty much the moment the romans met and fought them, they began recruiting them for their armies.
and later on germans would rise through the ranks of the roman army and even political system. they weren't idiots who lived on trees.
