That's just what I've always used. It was available to me at my work, so I learned that instead. I use vray for c4d, so it's not like I'm using a crippled renderer. I have yet to see any real differences between the two. Can you explain why c4d is shit?

Then it shouldn't be hard for you to name one thing. Name something. Is it the fact that 3ds is only available on PC? Or that it has slower rendering for the exact same scene? OR that 3ds max doesn't integrate into After Effects?
I use C4D for Motion graphics, not modeling. So that's why I use C4D not 3ds Max. Also I use distributed rendering on a Mac Environment, so 3ds max is automatically out of the picture for me
