ANZAC day is offensive and historically inaccurate. It should be properly called 'Invasion Day' - more specifically "Invasion Day II: Convict Boogaloo"- because it wasn't a peaceful landing at Gallipoli; it was an invasion.

GIB LANDS BACK TO EMU

Come back ya pommie cunts so we can smack ya harder
Funny, only a couple days ago was the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Ottoman/Turk roaches sure have a great memory to be pissed about the details of ANZAC day, right?
>>71989069
why so you can lose another war lol?
>>71989142
1915 was the last glorious year of the empire.
>>71989736
No need your help in that :^)
>>71990031
I wont be going to Europe if they start another war they can draft their faggot green party voters instead.
>>71988863
Fuck off proxyroach
I attended the dawn service in Christchurch.
They played both the Australian and New Zealand anthems.
There were hymms to god, laying of wreaths and remembering the fallen hero's.
As the army cores and veterans marched behind horses to the beat of the drum, 1000s of brave whites and a few warrior maoris looking on in the dim pre-dawn. It brought a tear to my eye - in this earthquake ruined city - pride lives on
Why don't we celebrate the Western front, we lost about 25k troops there in less time than the 7 or 8 thousand that died at Gallipoli.
>>71990693
Total casualties was 50,000 for NZ on the western front to maintain one single division according to wikipedia.
Now Europeans scoff at our nationalism and ridicule your Tony Abbot, what a waste of life.
>>71990693
They remembered the western front in the pre-dawn open air service I went to. You should go next year.
Brotherhood with the ANZAC core for all theaters, WW2, Korea, Malaysia, Afghanistan too.
>>71988863
>health bar on the spider
Fuck
>>71988863
A failed invasion too.
>proud white man from tough true blue country invades fez wearing shitskins
>get slaughtered
>run away crying
>celebrate their bravery every year
>>71991384
so fucking edgy disrespecting our ANZACS.
What is this, /b/?
>>71989069
>>71988863
we were at war with the ottomans and we were in the right. Those cunts were still practising slavery and shit before us cunts liberated the area and gave them democracy.
>>71988863
I used to leave in Australia
We celebrated Anzac day respectfully and even had a momen tof silence
Stay strong me lads
>>71990693
They remember all ANZACs who died in any combat. And there's a big dawn service in France too on ANZAC Day
>>71991555
school holiday
>>71988863
It's not named for what was done, it's named for who did it, so there's nothing inaccurate about the name. What about "ANZAC" says "peaceful landing?"
And why did I get baited into this anyway?
We need a Constantinople day. May 29th sounds 'bout right.
Day of mourning for the loss of one of the last great ancient empires.

Not really. They were defending their land, they beat the Allies at Gallipoli, and WW1 was the start of Turkish independence from the (failing) Ottoman Empire.
>>71990367
Thanks for posting this. I wish I'd been there.

I have deep emotions about Anzac Day, the Western Front losses, etc.
And I ridicule Tony Abbott and scoff at nationalism (which is very easily tipped over into extremism).
