It started a couple years ago. They were a niche group, and became more prevalent. The thing to remember about "progressive" movements is that it is a Ponzi scheme; so once they're established, they HAVE to include the next niche group (Q) in the platform, because otherwise they would remain stagnant, and thus the antithetical to progressivism.
That's why there are more letters depending on who you talk to, and why gay men are starting to be separated, specifically after SCOTUS ruled gay marriage as constitutional (lesbians didn't gain anything because of the absurdly high dead bedroom and abuse rates).
As far as being manipulated into LGBT shit, I can't really speak at how effective turning someone gay is.
It's not even LGBTQ anymore. Now it's LGBTTQQIAAP+. I wish I was fucking joking. The United States is the Whore of Babylon. We rule the world and spew forth our toxic corrupted culture onto the rest of it.
