Last thursday there was an Italian poster who said "I laugh at the 99% and love stealing their money, haha go to bed wageslaves you have to get up early tomorrow!". He inherited his money and said he commits crimes all the time and the police won't go near him. He can do anything he wants because he is part of the 1%. I started to ask him questions and he told me how the world is not a meritocracy. I asked "can't anyone secede in life if they do well in school?" He responded laughing saying that unless you have a degree at an Ivy League University you are going no where in life and the only people who get into Ivy are the rich.
There was another poster from Brazil laughing at the 99% and saying how he thinks it's funny when sweaty people crammed on the subway while he drives around in limos. He said "they deserve their life because they weren't born into wealth".
If this is really the mindset of the 1% why do we on /pol/ love them so much. I always thought they earned their money but if they are telling the truth and it's almost impossible to get ahead in life without being born rich why defend them?

That's just one way. I am using a personal example of what I follow, my grandfather was a diesel tanker engine engineer and patented a fluid-level detection system that is now in every ship, so I figured this was the best route to also follow. There are many other ways to generate wealth, I recommend you read some books on wealth generation if you're truly interest in doing it yourself.

I was referring to how I met people - The main point to take away was that having well developed interpersonal skills and a high grasp on social networking aspects is imperative to creating good business connections. Get a degree in Europe, it's free in some countries (like Germany). Plus even in USA you don't need anything higher than a state college to get into engineering, and that's not too expensive. Plus there are trade schools. And even the worst investors can at least double their money every decade. after 40 years your parents will probably be dead and give you their stuff. That's $16m (2^4). After a decade you should be able to get that to $32m, then another decade, $64m etc. That can all be done by leaving your money in VTI and not even looking at it.
