The enemy of the enemy is my friend. Lefties only hate Israel because they crave the support from Muslims, who are enemies of the west and human progress in general. The left is taken a regressive curve in which it has shown it will ally with ANYONE and ANYTHING that is anti-capitalism, anti-imperialism, and anti-US, including but not limited to: Capitalistic, Imperialistic, and murderous entities that are as bad or worse than the U.S.. If Israel wasn't hated by Muslims, lefties wouldn't give a shit. They're basically courting Islam to help them destroy western hedgemony--and themselves in the process.
Why is a far more interesting question.. and that's a psychological discussion involving decades of propaganda at every level of education, to the point of self-preservation being eliminated from western leftie mentality.
Who is responsible for this, is also a good question. Is the left simply a tool bred by men like Soros, who have global unification ideals and are simply misguided? Is the left a product of communism--a 'last ditch effort' of Cuba and the Soviet Union to ensure America and Europe's destruction long after communism has faded from relevance? There were instances where professors in colleges were caught as being part of a propaganda network by Cuba and the Russians, indoctrinating youth into leftist views that would cannibalize the country. The students of these professors went on to be teachers themselves, and so on.
There's many possibilities. "Jews did it! Dur!" is the lower common fools 'simple' explanation.
