The Western powers ganged up on Hitler because he kept invading countries. WW2 was famous for being that war where nobody wanted to get involved. Britain and France let two countries get invaded before they declared war, Russia spent a year ignoring intelligence reports and all those "gas the bolsheviks" speeches before they had to act in the end and America famously spent most of the war trying to stay out of it until Hitler declared war on them for no reason.
