I think it might be multiple layers of redpill.
The first redpill is the one that we've seen in the books/show up to this point. The subverting of fantasy tropes in favor of darker, harsher, more "realistic" characters, motivations and events.
Take the House Stark as an example. They're portrayed as one of the most noble, honorable, and traditional houses in all of Westeros, and they're all quickly murdered and betrayed by a bunch of degenerate, greedy, power-hungry cunts. This trend is repeated throughout the entire story thus far - fighting honorably gets you killed, standing for something gets your family killed, doing the right thing gets your whole House drawn and quartered, etc.
And that would seem to be the end of it... or is it?
What we're seeing now is the end result of all that degeneracy, murder, and betrayal from all the supposedly smart, pragmatic people - the Littlefingers and Lannisters of the world who plot and scheme and gain power and wealth at the expense of all those around them.
