If you decided to enter politics by joining a political party, would you prefer party whose ideology matches yours' almost exactly, but has pretty much no chance of gaining enough votes to have representation, or the one whose ideolog slightly differs from yous, but has real chance of actually gaining some seats?
I am guessing for burgers it'd be choosing between libertarian and republican party?

You can be a republican communist.
It being an economic ideology means you can tack it on at then end of anything. So adding it demonizes a side for practices its not about which is not logical and only serves to weaker you position with unnecessary bias.
