The entire state of Ohio says that bikes are to ride on the street with traffic unless there's a DESIGNATED bike path. Oddly enough the only piece of literature they distribute on the matter is primarily about driving cars.

When I lived in Queens and worked in Brooklyn, I biked to work because it was faster than the subway, buses, and even driving. It was only about 4 miles, but took me over and hour on the subway/bus, plus I would have to change a bunch of times.
The only bad part was I had to ride through the Orthodox Jew neighborhood, and they hated that. They would do things like park cars in the bike lane, intentionally walk out in front of you, and not yield in their cars when you had the right of way.
They even petitioned the city to have bike lanes removed from their neighborhood, and the city basically capitulated. Fucking jews, man. They're the worst.
