>If you dont want to be a doctor, an engineer or a software developer in today's market, you are screwed.

>screwed

Yeah with that grammar nobody is going to consider you
>>
>>71922568
its slang you dunce
>>
Not at all.
Hell, Civil Engineering is starting to lose steam here, it's no longer a guaranteed hire like it was once propped up to be.
>>
>>71922375
You can become a plumber or HVAC. You'll have a stable job, but won't make hundreds of thousands of dollars.
>>
>>71923332
and you wont have free time ever.

at most this position paus about 34k to 35k a year. you know about how much a meat cutter makes in costco? 36k to 37k depending on bonus. sonetimes up to 40k a year with overtime.

Not true at all.

Trades are always looking for people willing to learn and work.

The engineering market is starting to become over inflated due to everybody going "dude, I'm going to be an engineer" getting a degree and not able to find a spot at a company.

Its the same thing that happened with lawyers in the past decade. There was a surplus of law school grads and not enough spots on the market to take them.
>>
>>71923594
trades are willing to look for cheap exploitable work you mean.
>>
>>71923674
>cheap exploitable work
nope
i'm an electrician by trade and i make 85k a year, fun honest work and i'm surrounded by people that are actually nice

no office politics or anything, just fun honest work

Not screwed, but you of course won't be able to compete with these mentioned fields. As people have stated here: trades are a stable alternative if you don't want to follow a degree. I have a friend that started his own plumbing company. He works like 10 hours per week and let's the work be done by his employees. He makes around 50k - pretty respectable if you ask me. Furthermore, even within those fields you have nuances. Take engineering for example. An average to gifted mechanical engineer will top out at around 70k Euro here. Civil engineers (if they find jobs at all) are somewhere between 50 and 65k. On the other hand, a sales engineer executive with an EE background will make well around 200k.

I don't understand why everyone wants to be a doctor, an engineer or software developer, I prefer simpler things.
>>
>>71924292
thats a great idea. I'll start my own company and have other people do the work for me.
now all I need is money for their salaries... oh wait

>Get your MD and want to hang your own shingle
>Can't because of the regulatory requirements, red tape and cost of care being overly-regulated by bureaucrats
>Have to work at some shitty corporate behemoth care provider with rotating staff and huge patient base because some socialist faggot wanted to make healthcare mandatory

Lol, the wages are super stagnant because the field is over saturated as FUCK and all the jobs are getting outsourced to india.

Pretty much just doctor or a high calibre engineer.
>>
>>71924564

It's not really hard. At the same time, it's not really childs play. Don't think ten steps ahead into the future if you are a modest man. Do some basic market research for trades in Bulgaria, learn a trade that would also allow you to become self-employed (machine operating and similar stuff has a too high entry barrier, avoid this) and focus first on your training. Then you save up some money and start your own company after that. It will all come to you since you gain knowledge about your market with time.

I am a neet.
I cant focus on other things because my family cant handle that anymore and I feel too old (26) to try something new (I despise pretty much every job out there).
I dont have the patience to get a normal life at the age of 50. I should already have my normal life thanks to my degree but its not helping.

Not true. My daughter studied languages and now she does simultaneous interpretation. Basically, she's one of those chicks who do voice-overs when important people talk at international events. Her salary is insane, even though she says it can be mentally exhausting.

My point is, if you're good at what you do, you can make it big even in a field that seems as pointless as linguistics.
>>
>>71925517
luck
what if nobody is hiring the thing you are good at and you cant afford to move the a place where they do?
>>
>>71925489

Well, let me ask you this then: what are your goals? What is it that you want? What are your skills?
>>
>>71923674

Why some people are scared shitless of actual work is beyond me.

A nice apartment overlooking my home town's park. Disposable income I cannot exhaust.

I am good at many things but after working with them for a few months, I saw I am not attracted to them.
>>
>>71927163
>>71927259

If you are good at many things, you are not stupid. If you didn't like those things, then just learn something new. Well, I cannot give you concrete practical tips for your career. That is something you have to figure out on your own. But from your posts I can see that you have a philosophical problem with the entire matter at hand. Let me say this:
1. You are too focused on the idea of states. Put your mind less onto the idea of "being", rather more on the idea of "becoming". ARE you a NEET or are you BECOMING something? It's a huge difference. Focus on becoming something and leave your current state behind. This tip might sound ridiculous at first, but it is the key to life.
2. Don't pay too much attention on the fun part of work. Therein lies a grave mistake of values (one that too many people make). You must understand that a man feels intense joy when he increases his power, not when he has fun. You see, what is this 'fun' anyway? For your next chapter, pick something that is practical, no matter how fun it is. I also hated engineering with every inch of my body when I started. Wanted to kill myself. The change came when I actually started being good at it.

But I must go now. I hope these words help you. Good luck.
