People are quick to point out that the overwhelming scientific consensus is that global warming is real. That is true. If you haven't already figured it out, climate scientists are really unethical snake oil salesmen. Back in 2011 or 2012 I think, there was a huge row about a group of researchers with some contrary evidence. Their paper should have gone through the normal peer review. Instead, a bunch of top climate scientists ruined their careers and blackballed them from academia. Eventually it went through peer review and was rejected, probably deservedly. But you can't kick someone out for disagreeing once and being wrong for fuck's sake!

I live in Toronto and for the past 3 winters we've had maybe a week tops of light snowfall and most of the time it melted away the next day. 10 years ago we were blanketed with 3 feet of snow from October to April on a consistent basis every winter. There has been a clear shift in our climate and the seasons. We don't even have a clear spring/winter distinction anymore. After summer it just becomes a gloomy fall for 6 months then it heats up quickly again. Shit is clearly fucked. Not that there's really anything we can do at this point. Just enjoy the ride.

I take it you mean modern in the sense of technologically advanced and not in a biological sense because I hate to break it to you that mankind originated pre-flood. Our historic accounts may not go back that far but glacial core samples do and they show there were at least 4 such periods in which the poles will have at least partially molten.
Given our ancestors might not have had our technology but they still survived and mutated to the homo sapiens at least 200k years ago which was smack in the middle of the last ice age.

Climate change theory started as some half-baked theory called global warming. When they realized that some parts of the world were actually getting colder, they disappeared for a few years and then came back with a new theory, "Climate Change." This is when bug business and oil money stepped in. They realized the benefits of controlling such a theory and bending it to their will.
They are now using it to insist that third world countries use wind turbines, solar panels, and other shit-tier technology to ensure that they will never grow. This makes it possible for them to keep mining/drilling all of their resources without ever being exposed to the threat of that country actually creating it's own economy and industry and nationalizing their interests.
It's just another form of colonialism, keep the abos and tribals from organizing and getting to any notable stage of civilization. Not that I'm pro abo rights or anything but this is what is happening. They're actually trying to build stuff but can't because the aid we give them is in the form of "sustainable" ie substandard equipment and supplies.
