Best way to describe it is that it lets you maintain your peak concentration for 8-10hrs, but does not go over it.
It's easier to explain with numbers. Imagine your peak concentration is 10/10. Normally when you study it might fluctuate from 2 to 10 depending on how tired or bored or whatever you are. Taking modafinil will never make you 12/10 but it will let you maintain 8 to 10/10 for long duration.
I could have had 2 hours sleep and be walking dead, take a modafinil and for next 8 hours be alert and focused.
No comedown like adderall, however it does fuck with your sleep a little which I find lowers your immune system = flu. Also if I do too often I get eczema breakouts.
