What other boards do you visit senpai?

/pol/ for all its flaws is one of the porn-free boards (for the most part) so I can feel comfortable visiting it.

I visit /r9k/ a lot too but it's something that I can't really justify because it's guaranteed you're gonna see some porn (and really weird porn at that). I scroll right past it but still.

>the Proclamation to the World should honestly be the Constitution of /pol/

I agree. Although even a lot of members are starting to reject it.

>Although even a lot of members are starting to reject it

Yeah, what's up with that? I'm not a mormon but I live in Gilbert, Arizona, so I know quite a few. I generally used to regard them as pretty conservative and hard-working people, so despite some interesting beliefs, I thought having some mormons in the area generally improved things.

But now, there are a bunch of fag and feminist uprisings in the church.

I'm glad the church stood it's ground with the no children of gays policy but still, the older members enforcing that are gonna die off. I could seriously see mormon millennials reversing that decision.
>>

What pisses me off is the faggots are starting to relate muslims to how they were treated in the 1800s. Literally same cuck level as the pope licking mudslime feet.

Mesa, here. My church building is in Chandler.

I am not worried about these people. the leader of the feminist "Ordain Women" thing last year was a Civil Liberties attorney from DC. Not exactly someone who by her very nature represents the Plan of Happiness.

I am all for letting women do what they want. The problem with feminism is that it makes the stay at home mom out to be some kind of lazy villain. Batshit retarded.

The gay guy has about 100 actual followers. Anyone who believes Mormons do not have compassion for gays is retarded. Not supporting gay marriage is different than hatred for individuals who do not have the same bedroom practices as ourselves.

The media love to latch onto these instances and blow them as out of proportion as possible. Ordain women had fewer than 100 "protesters" at conference last year. That isn't even a drop in the bucket compared to 15 million church members.

>>
>>71893193
>Yeah, what's up with that?

Mormons feel guilty that there was arguably a disproportionate amount of focus on homosexual sin compared to others in the past, and that gays were not treated as well as they should have been.

Which is fine if it's true, I can support treating them with mercy. But the mantra of "love the sinner, hate the sin" applies here.

All of us fall well short of perfection, but we should be encouraging each other to strive for it, or at least to a higher standard than we are currently living, at all times. We should accept that people are going to fall short of it, but as long as they are making an honest effort and continually repenting, then that's all we can ask of them.

But that doesn't mean we can condone their sin in the slightest. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't be encouraging people to strive to live better lives, even while we fall short of perfection.

As long as we are making an honest effort to live our lives as righteously as we can, than it's our responsibility to encourage people to do the same (not that we should confront specific people in the hallways or anything like, though there are a few circumstances where pulling people aside who you don't have stewardship over is ok, but it's generally just between the member the bishop and God. No, I just mean as a general culture that's the attitude we should be aiming for).

Read "The Family, a Proclamation to the World" picture in my post here...

>>71892485

Personal accountability and self-reliance, focus on the family in traditional roles, and humble reverence to Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven are the pillars of our religion. What more would you need than that?

I used to respect Catholics because they at least supported traditional familial roles. This new Pope has killed that for me.

None of the Protestant religions has the full package. Some believe in original sin, thus maintaining a belief that if your child dies before baptism, it is eternally damned. Talk about some heartless shit, and a completely demeaning view of our Creator. Mormons believe that children are saved in Christ until they reach the age of accountability (8 years old).

We also believe in Baptism by proxy. This means that you can submit names of families members to the temple, and your ancestors can have a proxy baptism and be taught the Gospel in the afterlife, assuring their availability to the full blessings of the Gospel. Again, many Protestant religions believe that if you aren't baptized in life, you are simply damned.

Pretty much the only things that can really screw you over in Mormonism are rejecting the Gospel once you have an understanding of it and have accepted it before, and violation of the law of chastity (sex outside of marriage, straying outside of your marriage). Even murder doesn't make someone 100% irredeemable.

I was only in 1 minute and had encountered about 20 inaccuracies. It is like someone was taught the gospel and then related the story to their friend, and that friend told another person who then made this video.

My favorite lie from the first minute:

> God has countless wives

We do believe we have a Heavenly mother as well as a Heavenly Father. But she is the only one.

Kept listening while typing this so far, and it has just gotten worse from there.

Seriously, do your own research, please. At least take the effort to read the Book of Mormon if you want to criticize it. I bothered to read the Qu'ran before I declared Muslims batshit crazy. At least afford me the same courtesy.

So how do I become a Mormon?

Move to SLC and show up at one of your cult-centers?

Do you hand out 2 complementary wives with every sold soul to your 'latter day saints'?

Can I become a prophet?

Can you tell if someone is faking it for some of that sweet sweet LDS trim?

> So how do I become a Mormon?
Request missionary discussions at mormon.org to see if it is really right for you.

> Move to SLC and show up at one of your cult-centers?

Stay away from Utah and Idaho altogether, if possible. The very worst Mormons are there. They may even have legitimate cult-centers there.

> Do you hand out 2 complementary wives with every sold soul to your 'latter day saints'?

Sorry, not since the 1880's. Seriously, read "Around the World in 80 Days". He actually has a chapter where he stops off in Salt Lake and gets mobbed by women trying to latch on to any man.

Polygamy was only practiced at all because the male to female ratio dropped so low due to several factors (War against the US government, then sending troops to help that same government in Texas and during the Civil War, and fighting off Native American tribes as we entered their territories). Polygamy would and should have ended after about one generation once the ratio evened out. Officially it ended when Utah wanted to apply for statehood.

> Can I become a prophet?

Sure. If you lead a righteous life, it could happen.

> Can you tell if someone is faking it for some of that sweet sweet LDS trim?

Not worth the effort if you did. Plus, we have our share of loose women. They are still female, after all.

Guys. The mormon church is complete bullshit. I was raised in Utah in the mormon church my entire life. AMA if you want. But it's total bullshit.

For all mormons. I understand you wont take me seriously. But imagine going out on a mission, believing what you are preaching with all your heart. That's what I'm doing. I hate to see the church's hold on people. Please go read this book. As much as you would want someone to take your BoM seriously.

i mean the whole thing. joeseph smith was a known con man who made it up. Why make it up? who the fuck knows. maybe he wanted power, or women, or money; which he got all 3. maybe he was just talking out his ass like most of the religious leaders at that time period. he had a prophecy that jesus would come in the late 1800's. I think that if smith had lived that long, and it didnt happen, then mormism wouldnt be what it is today.

but instead he died and brigham young took them out west. i really dont think joeseph smith thought his religion would still be going the way it is.

Once you have been sealed to your spouse (temple marriage) cheating results in excommunication. It is seriously the worst thing you can do outside of flat out apostacy. You can complete a process to get back in, but the foundation of family and the relationship between husband and wife is paramount in importance.

>The Mormon Church is 181 years old, and its adherents compose less than 2 percent of the U.S. population, according to a 2009 American Religious Identification Survey (ARIS). Yet Latter-Day Saints hold, or have held, a seemingly disproportionate number of top jobs at such major corporations as Marriott International (MAR), American Express, American Motors, Dell Computers (DELL), Lufthansa, Fisher-Price (MAT), Life Re, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Madison Square Garden, La Quinta Properties, PricewaterhouseCooper, and Stanley Black & Decker (SWK). The head of human resources at Citigroup is Mormon, and in 2010 Goldman Sachs (GS) hired 31 grads from BYU, the same number it hired from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.

They are literally crypto jews
>>
>>71898417
Totally true. The FBI has a permanent recruitment office at BYU. There are reasons for this.

First, because many of us come from strong family backgrounds, we have greater hold to patriotism than most. Second, Mormonism teaches fiscal responsibility, meaning many of us do not have debts from things like gambling that could be used against us by those wanting to apply leverage. Third, drug and alcohol use are discouraged in the religion. Even the rampant use of prescription drugs by Mormons is frowned upon and generally done in secret. Less habits results again in a more stable individual with less likelihood an enemy could apply leverage and turn an agent.

Many Mormons are well educated and highly talented in a variety of things. In fact, Mormonism goes against the trend for education and faith basis. Many religious adherents are less educated than their contemporary counterparts, while Mormons are specifically well educated. Link to research provided below. Specifically, Mormons are more involved in sciences and do not hold a belief in the 6000 year "Creationist" cycle. We believe the Bible is not to be taken literally in all cases, especially with the number of translations it as undergone.

I got nothing against lds, personally, they're generally upstanding, respectable, friendly people and the church helped my grandmother out immensely who lived in poverty until she was 65.
Just fucking lunacy the shit they believe. Like scientology-tier lunacy especially with the constant pressure to tithe.

> Constant pressure to place 10% of your income anonymously in an envelope, thus making it no ones business but yours and your direct leadership.
> Supporting a cause you believe in, and wanting to help the efforts to give others that same happiness.

VS.

> Plate passed around the congregation forcing you through guilt to contribute or be shamed by your neighbors, or (and equally as bad) allowing some individuals to conspicuously place large donations to boost their social notoriety among their peers.

I would choose the envelope.

its because mormons fresh off their missions are prone to brainwashing. because they just spent two years being brainwashed.

the missions are for the missionaries more than the potential converts
>>
>>71898877
They do the same in the CIA. Plus they speak multiple languages and have experience overseas by doing that missionary thing.
>>

This. They respond well to outside authoritative pressure as well as peer pressure. Guilt tripping is one of the ways the church holds onto its members as well as social isolation. Interacting with others outside the church is fine but anyone who doesn't fit the same standard is generally considered trash at least on a subconscious level.

They are perfect for government positions because they respond loyally to authority without question and are eager to please.

Mormonism is basically Islam with a western bend.. why they support polygami aswell.. joseph smith is aswell quoted with saying he wanted to be the muhammad of america.

"In 1838 Thomas B. Marsh testified that he had overheard Joseph Smith boast that “he would yet tread down his enemies, and walk over their dead bodies; and if he was not let alone, he would be a second Mohammed to this generation, and that it would be one gore of blood from the Rocky Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean; that like Mohammed, whose motto in treating for peace was ‘the Alcoran or the sword,’ so should it be eventually with us, Joseph Smith or the sword.”

http://www.cph.org/p-21600-the-american-muhammad-joseph-smith-founder-of-mormonism.aspx

https://rsc.byu.edu/archived/selected-articles/muhammad-joseph-smith-comparison-subjective-metaphor-or-sociology

Islam is satanism btw. It really is i'm not kidding.. the killing of kuffar is human sacrifice/blood sacrifice to allah for not serving allah.

The secret societies who have "satanist" bends eventually when analyzed lead back to islam with their symbols etc. because Islam is the direct worship of the fallen angel/cherub.

The symbols involved in worshipping the fallen cherub is outlined in Isaiah 14 ironically where you read lucifer son of the morning is where the symbols for his worship are given so the christians might know about it. He's not saying "satan you're a lightbringer" clearly as you will see it's erroneously transliterated to the latin vulgate.

Ezekiel is in hebrew and what it reads in hebrew is heylal bin sahar/saharon which means oh you brightness/star of the crescent..

God wants you to know the symbols that identify worship of the fallen angel, and agents of the fallen angel have falsely transliterated it into some kind of glorious title for satan.. when that was not what god was saying.

Crescent and star = worship of the fallen angel.. always these symbols. Sometimes the cube is mixed in but when you see crescent and star, throughout thousands of years it has always been direct worship of the fallen angel, the first empire to do with was egypt.. The disk is the star on isis's head.. and the crescent around the star, and serpent in front recieving the worship. With the apis bull (golden calf) horns are crescent disk is star, serpent in front recieving the worship.

I want to ask you guys something. What the fuck man? What is with all those mormons coming here in Sofia trying to convert me and other people? I've seen them like every week for the past month. They are really cheeky and try their hardest to get you to go to some service at their church. Also they have no respect because they do not even wish to visit local churches. I actually managed to make them go away on their own by talking to them how cool it is to be orthodox and how they should try it. They want me to go to their church meeting, but they dont want to come to local church services. What the fuck man? Explain please.

Also why are they even coming here?
>>
>>71902508
Isaiah and ezekiel are in hebrew.

Ezekiel 28 which says the fallen angel/cherub was in the garden of eden (the 'snake'), the "murderer from the beginning" because he was alive before the earth and creation of man, and Isaiah 14 who gives the symbols of how man worshipped him. (crescent and star).

Born into the church. I've lived in 6 states and at least 12 different stakes and wards. The only one I liked and weren't complete douches or possible drug dealers was in Alaska. My sisters ward spied on her by request of the bishop. Accused her of cheating when in reality her ex husband was the cheating one. Other wards I've been in treated me like an outcast when I became inactive. Even notified my parents when I requested my name be removed. The church has some really great principles like stuff about family. Just can't get over J.Smith polygamy shit or the whole Israelites coming here despite lack of proof. The book of Abraham scroll actually being generic mummification thing.
