I am thinking to move to Winnipeg as I have some relatives there and from there start over again. Can I get some pros and cons? Canadians only please.
>>
>>71888056
Given that you're from a 3rd world shithole, there's nothing but pros except you're not going to get used to the weather for like a solid 3 years.

Some people move here and never get used to it after like 20 years.

Why would you want to move? Peru is super chill, decent cost of living, easy to maintain a good job, perfect climate with awesome places to live/visit, homogeneous as fuck. I personally wouldn't leave Peru for Canada, maybe to Chile but there aren't many big differences between Chile and Peru aside from the fact that Chile is generally more industrialized.

I assume you're thinking Peru is too monotonous.

>Country's leader for highest homicide rate in Canada for many years.

How old are you? Being over 35 has a negative impact on your ability to move here on your own.

>>71890324
>minimum wage is $10
>take 2 day course traffic course
>can now make $15
>go do hard labour in some rural area during the summer

I can understand thinking OP shouldn't move here permanently, but if I was Peruvian, I would love the chance to make Canadian salary. When I was in Costa Rica there were Peruvians that moved there for economic reasons.
>>
Winnipeg homicide rate is injuns killing each other in drunk retardnes and gang fights. There little chances do be a victim, they are still anoying evet to be near them.

Rural Manitoba is great, in general. Great people, safe, low housing prices and car isurance (fuck Toronto crasiness), tution rebates.
>>

>make a canadian salary
And pay canadian taxes and the super high canadian cost of living. Sure if you arent amitious you can do worse...
>>
>>71891063
High salary to sustain a high cost of living. I wouldn't call that a win. While you earn less in Peru, it costs very little anyway to maintain a good life. And I'm pretty certain the Peruvian lifestyle is far healthier than that of any western country.

Canada has a high cost of living because of the goods Canadians expect to be able to buy. Cell phone, internet, cable, meat, alcohol, nice apartment.

Our taxes really aren't very high for a developed country. You only have to pay them when you make over $20000 a year, something most Peruvians don't even do.

You can live in Winnipeg for $1000 a month. Working 40hr weeks at the minimum wage, that would still leave you with $600 in savings.
>>
>>71889158
>I survive the 90's while working installing electric towers that the terrorist bombed time to time

If you're trained as a lineman and can get your credentials recognized in Canada you should be able to get good paying work almost anywhere in the country. In the past Alberta would be best but the oil industry is kinda in the shitter now.
>>
>>71888056

whatever you do dont go to Calgary (calgaristan) or Edmonton ("The Chuck") also avoid toronto and surrounding area

Winnepeg is fine. ive visited there. what most canadian cities (aside from the 3 i just mentioned) tend to do is keep their degeneracy confined to certain neighbourhoods. many immigrants make the mistake of settling in a crap area because the housing cost is lower. dont do it because that low cost and subsidised housing is to ensure the degenerates and fags go and stay there.find out the areas to avoid through researching it just save a little for a months rent in a good area and apply for a good job in your choice city and you should be fine (again as long as its not the 3 cities above)

also something else i must mention. Canada is a very very young country (barely 200 years old) founded by immigrants if you are going to come here work hard and express an intrest in working to contribute positively to your new home you wont have any discrimination issues due to you not being born here. we look down on those who are lazy regardless of where theyre from but we like people from other countries coming here and generally agree that they positively impact the country.
>>
>>71888056
Winnipeg's awful. Move to Saskatchewan instead. It has a higher quality of life (low cost of living and high wages) and nobody here cares that you're an immigrant as long as you work.
>>
>>71894290
Indians are the same everywhere, here they only drink beer and abuse all the women they can find. The government tried to avoid their reproduction in the 90's by sterilization. Sadly this secret health program was undercover later and terminated for being too controversial.

Calgary consistently ranks as one of the top five most livable cities in the world.

Bear in mind that you are consulting for advice a community whose prevailing vision of utopia is uniformly white rural suburbia, and you would constitute a minority in that environment. Your mileage may vary.

Calgary is expensive to live in. Not nearly as bad as Toronto or especially Vancouver, but it's definitely the most expensive city in the Prairies.
>>
>>71894871
I was responding to the worst province bit after the worst city bit. I'm not aware if Nunavut has anything that could be classified as a city. Their capital is like barely a mid-sized town.

Worst city would be Toronto.

That's two in a row now, big wins for the right in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba. I think British Columbia's coming up next. Hopefully everyone's still in a fit about the Leap Manifesto by then and the NDP doesn't take over there.
>>
>>71888056

>>
>>71895131
Everywhere in the Prairies basically has the same weather, excepting chinooks in Alberta. Winnipeg is as cold as you've heard.

Crime's another story, though. The vast, vast majority of it in the Prairies is Natives attacking other Natives in neighbourhoods that don't have anyone except Natives.
>>
>>71895131
Yeah the weather is pretty extreme. Can go from -30 in the winter to +30 in the summer very easily. The worst thing about winter would be the wind and the lack of sunlight (sometimes for days on end, cloudy and gloomy) there's a lot of crime here, almost every half decent neighborhood will be bordering a shitty one and there's a lot of shit that spills over. I live in a half decent neighborhood near the edge of the city and even here there's a few streets it's a good idea to avoid at night. That being said all the really dangerous shit is mostly in the north and west end. My friend is an electrician and has been calling around for work, every place he calls says they get 20+ calls like that a day. That's about all I know about that
>>
>>71895202
Yeah the guy running Saskatchewan (forget his name) is doing a fucking great job of it so far. I mean I don't know if it's just coincidence but over the past few years they seem to have really turned it around. I'm hoping the same thing plays out federally next election
>>
>>71895438
That's great to hear. I have many years of experience and I got my english certification so I was having my doubts about the possibilities to find a job there.
